Ok, I'm back from my gambling "experiment" and this is what I have so far...
My proof of concept is good. My method is good, and it will give me an advantage, a substantial advantage. Previously I calculated around 20%, but I now realize that my Grade 12 Finite Math class doesn't really give me the mathematics background to make this claim. When I divulge my method however, I'll leave it to others to calculate the statistical advantage.
The sticking point I mentioned earlier is still a sticking point. It is a problem with "delivery" for lack of a better term.
I am certain that the casino either doesn't care about what I'm doing, or doesn't have the ability to detect it. Either way, I played about 22 hours of poker and had no issues with the casino. In one case, I practically announced my actions with a HUGE error, but nobody caught on...lucky.
I won about $400, but I have to admit that my method had almost nothing to do with it. I spent the entire time just testing different aspects of my method and was unconcerned about the outcome. My focus was on whether or not I could do what I intended to do...and that was successful.
There is also no doubt in my mind now that what I am doing is entirely cheating. I still don't know the legalities of it (I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV), but I'm fairly certain that if the other players or the casino caught on, I would be at the very least escorted out of the casino.
Is my method brand new? No way. It has been around for probably as long as the game itself, but I have the resources to make it work for today. In a home game, or a less sophisticated environment, it is close to perfect, and almost undetectable.
Am I selling anything? No. I am not trying to make any money on books, or websites or anything. I want to share with a select few people, test it out, and share. I'm kind of an anarchist like that, but not before I make a few bucks myself.
