I never said they were lethal, I said 14,000 stabbings in just one city is insaneSo you are saying that stabbing attacks are incredibly non-lethal (since you assume that 14,000 figure is "knife attacks" in one city)?
Its not?? What percentage are actual stabbings then??Of course, that 14,000 is "knife crime" not "stabbing attacks", but we wouldn't want to mess with the narrative, would we?
You're right, they actually had more in 2023/2024.And you are right, if we 64 stabbings a day in Toronto, it would be a big deal.
But they don't have 64 stabbings a day in London, either
Over 15,000 knife or sharp instrument offences recorded by the police in that year
Google Search
www.google.ca
The number of knife or sharp instrument offences recorded by the police in London rose to approximately 15,016 in 2023/24, compared with 12,786 in the previous year. This was the highest number of knife crime offences reported in London since 2019/20, when there were 15,928 offences
Again, I never said anything about homicides. So let's look at "knife crime" (which appears to be various things where a knife might be involved.)
London: 1.76 knife offences per 1,000 people
Toronto: 1.20 knife offences per 1,000 people
So it is worse in London.
Now, can we get specifically "stabbings"?
That's tougher, but is probably in the data somewhere.
I haven't been able to find it, though.
(Homicides with knives is easier.)
I merely said London has an insane amount of stabbings every year.
You're the one who then brought homicides by stabbings into the debate.
You have a history of moving the goalposts though, so I guess I shouldnt be surprised
