Regardless of what the actual reality is, if the money saving is what is perceived as true by the voters, then that becomes the reality of the election. So tired of hearing this malarkey. It ISN'T true. He isn't saving that much money.

Likewise Rob Ford can't get away from the actual reality that he is a crack user. Voters will not easily forget that.Regardless of what the actual reality is, if the money saving is what is perceived as true by the voters, then that becomes the reality of the election.
Gotta agree but most elections are about numerous issues.Likewise Rob Ford can't get away from the actual reality that he is a crack user. Voters will not easily forget that.
People in Mississauga are funny, they keep voting for that corrupt old corpse that has made their city a total mess, screws them with massive taxes, then they bitch about how Torontonians don't pay enough tax.. I'd rather have a mayor that smokes crack right on the doorstep of queens park then have Chow Chow in office.A friend of mine (who lives in Mississauga) is convinced that Ford is going to be re-elected.
I'm not as convinced, but I don't rule it out.
My taxes have not gone up much while he was has been in power. Any candidate that has been attacked by the Police has my vote.....So tired of hearing this malarkey. It ISN'T true. He isn't saving that much money. Other candidates will look to save money. Ford himself is on his own gravy train when it suits his own purposes.
Toronto, fuck off with the "Ford will save money bullshit". Please.
I have no problem with The Star going after politicians, especially if they've done something wrong. I have a HUGE problem if they just go after politicians they dont like, and let a lot of other stuff go by left-wing politicians they do like.2. The "evil commie" Star has been cleared and proven journalistically prudent in their Ford coverage. All the stuff they said about him turned out to be true and all the stuff Ford said turned out to be lies
^^^ see, this exactly what I'm talking about.Like Royson James who lobbed easily the softest of softball questions to Chow.
Loved CP24 as well only highlighting attacks on Ford. Chow got nailed by Tory on Garbage Privatization but no footage shown
Sitting here in Kingston Jamaica with my Jamaican friends we watched the debate here on their CITY feed. We were just a-pray in' Robbie was going to drop down to his Patois shtick again....he would have won going away ?...I believe it is on the CityTV website and they did mention something about on demand. I would visit the website and I'm sure they will direct you.
So who do you think did well?Sitting here in Kingston Jamaica with my Jamaican friends we watched the debate here on their CITY feed. We were just a-pray in' Robbie was going to drop down to his Patois shtick again....he would have won going away ?...
Even the Toronto Star has admitted that Ford won that debate.^^^ see, this exactly what I'm talking about.
Also, since Ford clearly won the debate you'd think CP24, The Star.....etc would report fairly on that, and they didnt. Had Chow won the debate it would be front page headlines everywhere
Odd you say that, I've lived in Mississauga the past 22 years and the city is always changing and growing, I don't recall ever seeing a slowdown in construction and development. Traffic is minimal when compared to Toronto, property taxes have never been a issue financially, the city is clean and most importantly DEBT free and a surplus collecting interest.People in Mississauga are funny, they keep voting for that corrupt old corpse that has made their city a total mess, screws them with massive taxes, then they bitch about how Torontonians don't pay enough tax.. I'd rather have a mayor that smokes crack right on the doorstep of queens park then have Chow Chow in office.
Apparently Red Star readers didnt get that memo:Even the Toronto Star has admitted that Ford won that debate
At any time during one of the televised debates all one candidate has to do during one of those ask a question moments is this....Even the Toronto Star has admitted that Ford won that debate.
I can't believe, I mean I can BELIEVE that Ford's competition have not treated him like a 350 pound piñata on the issue of his crack use, public drunkenness, his pathological lying, his criminal friends, his football coaching. Just pound away on Ford and stop letting him avoid answering the tough questions
my peeps here say Robbie all the way. if he doesn't win Toronto they will draft him as the next Jamaican PM...So who do you think did well?
well rosie dimanno called it like it wasApparently Red Star readers didnt get that memo:
