Can you imagine if Regis did this to a hot college girl? Can we say sexual harassment lawsuit?

Sounds like she loves the movie an officer and a gentleman

Or should I say she prefers a naval aviator flying F/A-18 E Super Hornet to his US Marine counterparts.

I agree that there is a double standard.

However, in this case, let's not blow it out of proportion.

Meredith was just making some light banter, and giving a nod to the military.

FWIW, remember Richard Dawson on Family Feud back in the 70s and 80s?

I've always thought that she was hot.......I'd fuck her if I was him.I'm 90% sure that he had the chance once those cameras went off too.Can you imagine the "FUCK ME" signals he'd be getting when she knew no one was watching?

It would be pretty cool if the next guy out was a fat pig who tried the same shtick and she gave him the cold shoulder.

She's on the Today show these days.

I think she's still hot, but slowly, I think her looks are fading though.

It's called a double-standard and it's alive and well in today's world.

It's a double standard, but c'est la vie.

She's a good looking woman and I'd love to tap that ass.

It's only sexual harassment when it's unwelcome for crying out loud (seriously) and I'm sure he welcomed it. I only hope that they hooked up after the show.

I think the concerns about a double standard are more about how society judges these things.

Imagine if it was a hot young girl and a older male host that behaved in the identical manner. I could hear it now.

I think these double standards are largely in part why relationships between the genders are so fucked up.

I also agree this is double standard and somehow unfair.

Nowadays it is safer for a man to keep his comments and opinion about a woman to himself (well maybe less so in pickup bars). Anything from deliberate physical and verbal vulgarity to a casual innocent praise of beauty can be interpreted as "sexual harassment".

It is all about what is in your mind and what is in her mind at that moment. It is all about intention, you just never know.

On the other hand, women pulling a stunt like Meredith would be called "liberated modern women", because she is "not afraid to express herself about what she thinks and wants", even personal sexual desire. The action will be brushed off as "teasing" and "girls just want a bit of fun".

I guess this is just the way our society is trying to keep men in check from being too "sexually" (?) aggressive, while encouraging women to be more "sexually" (?) aggressive / "open"?

I guess this stems from the historical belief (fact) that "men take advantage of women", and the fact that the vast majority of forceful nonconsensual sexual behaviour were made by men on women?

It's the way that it is and it's not going to change. Most men will fuck just about anything on 2 legs (just about, but not quite). As such, it's hard to have unwanted sexual attention from women. (That's not to say that we ever want to see them again once the deed is done.)

He was flirting with her too, I don't think he in the least felt harassed. And who wouldn't.

I believe that sexual harassment is defined as repeated and unwanted sexual attention. This was hardly unwanted (he was flirting with her too) and was not repeated. It was a simple flirt or a come on at most. That is not sexual harassment. Also, she is hardly in a postion of control over him.

Wrong, depends on the person doing it, if it was Regis, would have been the same reaction, all depends on the intent.

I actually thought it was pretty charming, and an honest expression of sexuality and flirting. America needs to lose the sexual repression. I have always thought MV is hot and this only confirms it in my book.
