How do YOU define BBW?

If she's standing up and looks straight down to her toes (no bending)....and can't see them, then she's BBW.
What about a women who is slim but has 38DDD breasts - she wouldn't be able to see her toes.

For me a BBW is an attractive larger woman. For example, a 5'3" and 150 lbs would be considered a BBW in my books. Amanda Roy would be close to fitting the bill.

As long as I don't have to lift up a flap of fat to get to the sweet spot. I've found many BBW are very solid and fit, they may just have a bigger bone structure. Although morbidly obese as in the photo above is another story. We used to say when I was a kid back in the 60's "roll her in flour to find the wet spot" !

As a plus size (5'6 / size 16/18) I find the term bbw confusing.
And to be honest and imo, there are women who use the term bbw who may just be bw. But keep in mind beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Plus size is size 14-18 (1-2X). Queen size is 20-24(2-3X) and Full size is 26-30 (3X-4X) and super size is 32+ (4X+) (think of moo-moos dresses). The average women size is 10-14.
Junior size is even numbers 0-8 (very slender/no to little curves).
Misses size is odd numbers 1-9 more room for bigger breasts (B+) and wider hips.
I used to say bbw and some men expected bigger.
Some of the pics posted in this thread, I would define as curvaceous and others as super size "bbw".

is curvaceous but NOT bbw if anything she is of average size.

D'anna, that's very informative. I know next to nothing about the correlation between a woman's body shape/ size, and her dress size. I found this chart to be both informative and confusing:

full size: http://www.babaaj.com/store/pc/catalog/word-women's-size-chart-4.jpg

These measurements are for the size of the clothes, not the size of the woman wearing them, obviously.

Could you approximate the Bust-Waist-Hips stats of women who wear sizes 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22? Would there be a consistent scaling, versus the figures in that chart, (ie: the clothing size is X% larger than the woman wearing it)?

Thanks!

whew...I`m lucky...if you did a search 10 years ago for "plus size models" a few photos of me may have shown up.

I`m not comfortable being put on the spot and I`m not supporting member of terb right now so if I am out of line please edit.
The pics above are obviously edited (photoshopped).

Needless to say I do resemble some of the women shown above.

I am a past and future advertiser. Taking some time off of seeing new clients currently.

They are all fat to differing degrees. Call them BBW if you want but they are all overweight. Some of them carry it better than others.

The only reason the term is used is because it is not as offensive/derogatory as calling a woman fat, especially if that description is needed for marketing.

I got ripped for this by a SP on this board, but any women that is overweight by 20+ pounds or size 10 and up.
+20 pounds = bbw?

Are you serious?

You just described about 80% of the women in Toronto.

By the way, my ex was a size 10.

She was 6 feet tall and 145 pounds, but a size 10, and she was down right skinny.

There is a classification that some of you seem to be forgetting - "curvy"

A BBW who isn't beautiful would simply be a BW.

That could be confusing though, BW could mean Beautiful, Big, Black, Bitchy, Ballsy, Ballbreaker, Busty Woman, Wombat, Weasel, Wuss, Whopper.

So if you mean Big Woman, why not say that?

Then we'd have a different kind of ambiguity. By leaving out the second B, it is then implied that she is big, but not beautiful; conclusion by omission.

There's certainly a market for BBW Escorts; BW? Really only for the boys with two figure budgets. Pretty much any civilian guy with one nose and most of his teeth should be able to snag a civvie BW in the ice cream aisle of a Sobey's on a Friday around quarter to eight, if he wants to bust a slump badly enough.
how do i put a poster on ignore so i don't have read his crap?

A-freakin-men!!!

I wouldn't define a BBW nor would I define a skinny girl. It is not something that can be defined. It can't be done by weight and beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Instead of trying to "define" people based on appearance, I tend to define people by who they are. Funny, confident, sexy, feminine/masculine, intelligent, caring, honest, compassionate, etc.

However as others have pointed out BBW is a respectful term for a larger beautiful woman. Just like spinner is a for a petite, skinny woman or teddy-bear for a big hunky man etc. However, if you are the type that need to use terms like fat or anorexic to describe people then to be honest I feel more sorry for the you then person you are describing.

I personally would call that curvy/voluptuous not BBW. Just my opinion though.

I went over this with my personal trainer just last week, the BMI suggestion for my age (34) and height (5'4'') was 150 lbs, actually the computer came up with 170 lbs for my age and height but naturally the trainer had to take another 20 off of that... So, I would, educated guess here, at 200 lbs, which is around where I am now, I am BBW, and have been told a "small" one at that by the OP's who have met me. Point -- we call carry it differently and we all have opinions.

What about a women who is slim but has 38DDD breasts - she wouldn't be able to see her toes.
