I was thinking of taking a vacation to Wasaga beach and need to loose my belly:frusty:

Eat right and exercise daily.

Find an activity you enjoy doing, even if its just a nice brisk walk and do it for an hour everyday.

Cut out ALL fast food, all processed food, and eat a balanced diet (lots of fruits and veggies, fish, etc.)

Losing any more that 3 lbs/ week is unhealthy.

If you are 50 lbs overweight, P90X or Insanity is WAY too advanced for this type of person. Do not attempt it... you are setting yourself up for failure.

50 lbs of belly good luck. Some of the ladies like a little heft. Losing it that quickly will mean it's tough to keep it off. you body will just switch onto starvation mode in about 2 weeks, if you try to lose too much, too fast, and it will get really tough to lose much more.

I lost 15 in two months with diet and I cheated once or twice a week with fast food or a pop or two.

For perspective my ideal weight would be to lose another 10 pounds to get me within a few pounds of my bmi. I would say that I am broader than average for my height.

If you loose your weight too fast, you'll get back later . It's call jojo effect. Don't do it! 5-10 pounds weight loss a month could be healthy.

the speed of the loss is not what causess the yo yo effect. It is returning to the lifestyle that got you fat in the first place.

Cardio and weight training + fix your diet; cut out pasta/breads or any carb heavy foods, sugar, alcohol, and focus on high protein foods such as beans, lean beef, chicken, tuna, peanut butter, nuts (almonds especially) etc. Eat a lot of vegetables as well... also drink water over any juice/pop; wine is fine. good luck!

Weight training is the absolute best way to lose weight, but since you're 50 lbs overweight, you might have to start off with some light cardio first before delving into weights... just so your heart doesn't go berserk when it's time to up the anti.

Intermediate bodybuilder here, (6'0, 190lbs, 10% BF) so I know what I'm talking about.

Start the P90X and go vegetarian... will be rough, but do whatever you can and stick with it lol.
