I found out a few years ago about my history teacher married a student that was my age and whom I went to highschool with. She graduated, went to university they met up and bam love!!! Now your friend should wait and by the time she is out of school she might not be his thing any more and well she might be happy playing the field with all of the football team. Now remember gentlemen who are over the age of 35 if you see sps that are that young as well hold your tongue and don't judge. This is a board of support and understanding hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
If we see a girl that young. There's a huge difference. As clients we are not in a position of responsibility whereas a teacher is supposed to treat a child as if they were a reasonable parent.

perhaps your teacher friend should take up the hobby and leave the 18 y.o alone. Next year his wondering groin will be standing at attention for the next 18 y.o. jail bait honey in his class.

lol you should hear some of the stories about piss, shit and cum being hurled. I dated a girl who worked in an autistic class. she got a facial at work....... I never got to give her a facial

Oh and the story about having a leg broken by a raging autistic kid..... that's a real treat

This is assuming he doesn't get his licence revoked...... meaning by by public schools......maybe a private school will take him...... then again it's not like there isn't thousands graduating from teacher's college each year (sarcasm.......he drops to the bottom of a deep barrel)
Yes, I know a girl (20s) who was a teacher's aid in a special needs class and I heard similar stories from her of bodily waste being thrown by students at her and the teacher on a daily basis. She lasted 2 months and then took up another occupation (not SPing unfortunately lol)

Everything that should be said has been said. If he breaks the rules he is toast, and if it is while she is still a student, criminal as well. Even if in four or five years they end up being passionately in love they are still going to have to deal with people looking cross-eyed at them.
if she's 18, it's not criminal, even if she is a student ... the "person of authority" clause applies only to minors ... as far as the law is concerned, as long as she's 18, it's no different than a co-ed and her professor

however, the rules for teachers go further than the law

He tells me he is really attracted to her and suspects that she may want to date him too if he asked her out because he feels there may be mutual attraction. Of course I told him that he is out of his mind. But he says that at this point they are only facebook friends and are not communicating socially through it (yet), and that there is no policy against being facebook friends with a student. Furthermore, the board's rules is that a teacher cannot date a current student or a former student until 1 year after she has graduated, so he intends to keep in touch with her through facebook and then ask her out 1 year after she's gone. Thus he believes that he cannot get in trouble with his plan. She's 18 and he's 35. What should I do here?
Prestokeys, if you are the "teacher friend" then let it go. Otherwise, why do you have to do anything?

Let's be honest here. Your friend just wants to bang her and not have a real relationship that would eventually leads to marriage. He's 35 and wants to see how far he can corrupt an 18 yr, which most of the men here on TERB would do the same given the same position.
The biggest opposition here that he's a teacher and she's a former student.

Yes, Mr. Moral.
Frosty, there is no question that moral values are a sliding scale. However, by avering that most men share your desire to corrupt 18yr. old women, you demonstrate just what a degenerate you are!

That exactly it..... while not illegal, it could cost him his job. At no point was this situation bound for prison but it could be a fast track to minimum wage. On the bright side she's used to guys who make minimum wage.

the hobby needs more capitalism
He is playing with fire..... is a stable job that pays shy of 100K plus a 60K pension and the ability to retire in your 50s worth throwing away.
And if he works out and develops his own style, the pussy buffet will never end.

No need to fish off the company pier.

She told him in person that she would like to be facebook friends. He made the invitation on the computer.
That;s going to be a problem as it's difficult to prove that she initiated it and the argument will be that even if she did initiate he should have said no.

At this point we have that he invited her electronically. That on it's own is not bad. If he stops there his career is fine. If he proceeds with the plan he may be risking his career. Does he have a backup plan for work that he can fall into?

If he is really your friend you should only do one of two things
1) stay out of it
2) encourage him to look elsewhere

Otherwise if he goes through with it and his career is wrecked you will be associated with that.

If this is one of those "the friend is really me" smarten the fuck up.
