guys, someone PM'd me about the Canadian Tire inspection for RIV. I did it at the c-tire in Brampton at Trinity Commons. It was the service manager that did the inspection. It IS NOT a safety inspection... he looked over the vehicle, (odometer, lights and checked the stickers to make sure that the Vehicle Identification Number VIN) was correct and matched the paperwork. It took him about 4 minutes to inspect the vehicle and 10 more minutes to fill out his paperwork... he even faxed the stuff to the RIV for me so all I had to do was go to MTO and get my license plates after I left C-tire.

It was very easy.... absolutely NO Modifications had to be made.

If you are considering this approach to getting your next vehicle, I have everything needed outlined in this thread... take your time and read through each of my posts in it, as because it is fragmented as I tried to answer each question that came my way. You might want to copy and paste the info onto a word processor or notepad for printing out and using when needed. It should work as a failsafe checklist.
Cheers!
