Not impressed - and you can call me a lemming fanboi if you want to. It is slow and buggy. And on mine Safari does not respond to keyboard or touch commands for 30 seconds or so. Thank god that is the only app that does that... am now using Chrome.
Bump and agree!

The only site that I experience any delay is TERB. So far everything is working fine.

Just thankful at never becoming an Apple lemming
guzzling the kool aid.....

It's a better ecosystem choice for me, Can't say the same for someone else. Doesn't mean that I'll always buy their stuff. I'll buy whatever I think will do what I need to make my life/work easier.

Whats the hardware cost difference between Apple and your Linux products?
All Linux products I use are all FREE and are installed on any PC I have, usually as a dual boot setup with M$.

Never would buy Apple products/hardware because generally Apple runs double or more in cost compared to PCs.....:eyebrows:

I don't have the knowledge, time or patience to noodle around with Linux. I like that apple with plug and play. Frankly, the time saved is well worth it to me.

Having just shopped the difference between Mac and PC for my business, Mac is more, but not twice th price. I found it to be maybe 25% to 30% more, and sometimes about the same in cost.

Something that's really irritating is certain apps requiring hardware features (e.g. front facing camera) being present on your device to even install the app. So if you want the app, you pretty much have to upgrade or jailbreak the device.
where can you find a device without front camera?

Linux nowadays is pretty much P&P also.
Linux has come a long ways the last couple years......:eyebrows:

Wanted an i7 PC a few years ago.
Got a Dell i7 for ~$1000.
A comparable Mac i7 would have run >$3000

BTW that 3+ yr old Dell i7 still SCREAMS!!!......:thumb:

I can't stand the look and feel of it. I'll never update again without doing my due-diligence.

I have no idea why apple went and copied the android look. Terrible.

But did your dell come with a 27" monitor of the same specs?

My MB air was $300 more than a sony or hp.

my thunderbolt display would appear to cost $300 more than a Sammy, but not if you add on speakers and hub which are built into the apple display,

Also, having talked to five IT consultants about setting up a network, the apple guy was the cheapest, by far. Shocked the hell out of me.

the hobby needs more capitalism
LOL, as usual lots of misinfo among the resident brain trust here.

If Apple copied anyone's design for iOS 7, it was Windows not Android.

iOS 7 uses the flat design aesthetic, similar to Windows 8.

This is the beginning of the Ivy influence on SW at Apple, that's a very good thing.

Some of your not so well supported apps will crash or mulfunction in iOS7.
You might want to name a few of these apps.

Every third party apps that I have downloaded, even a few well known games, have worked just fine. You might have to download upgrade or bug fix sometimes, but I have not had any difficulties at all.

I haven't had any problems either, just hate how it looks.

I said "NOT" so well known ones. Big apps have money behind it so they can keep up with iOS changes, not so with smaller apps whose developer simply don't have time or will to update their code every time Apple decides to fundamentally change everything in the OS.

Some of my third party apps aren't from big companies and still no problems.
