This was strictly a comparison or i7 towers with equal specs!

Dell i7 tower ~$1000 and Mac i7 tower >$3000.....


FWIW today a Dell i7 with faster CPU and more RAM goes for $900!
Highly doubt the same cam be said for the Mac i7 equivalent.....:eyebrows:

Sorry, i assumed you meant iMac. You're right. the Mac Pro is a whole different ball game. Way too pricey. The new tower certainly is sexy though.

Agreed...back then. The price differences are not that great any more (at least for the products that I've been looking at). In fact, a mac mini server is a whole lot cheaper than the PC options I've seen.
