nibs I at least was able to post several links that YOU were incapable of. Can't help if you are too challenged to comprehend them. Guess that's why YOU have to stick with an idiot proof Apple distro like OS X....:D

And I guess you don't read much:

First link - looking at a couple of dates simply talks about updates to drivers, bug fixes and so on. Hardly bleeding edge.

Second link just lists developments for the Fedora distro...only about FOUR posts since the blog began almost a year ago.

Am not going to bother with the rest because it's just more of you blowing smoke. Either that or you have no clue what is meant by "bleeding edge".
So Woodie hits you with 10 links and the first 2 were underwhelming. Looks like he tried to impress/baffle you with quantity and not quality, typical. Glad to hear you decided not to waste your time.

No one is questioning Linux in the enterprise, just it's utter failure as a desktop OS....

When the iPad OS has more users in a year than Linux does (how many variants?) it's a market failure. Not bad for a big iPod touch.... LOL

And how much money did Apple shell out promoting the iToy???
Linux doesn't have to play that game....

And Linux still beat out Apple.

You really are dumber than a bag of hammers...

I'll type it slowly, perhaps that will help:

No one is disputing Linux in the enterprise (where those revenue numbers come from) just the complete failure of Linux on the desktop (as measure by people using it), the iPad beat it in a single year - that's a bitch-slap into obscurity, irrelevance, into basement dwelling dorkdom....

Understand now you fucking idiot?

Kiddies

You really are the one dumber than a bag of hammers bottie...

It is you who opine Linux desktop is a failure by playing with numbers again.
I just have to remind my challenged fanboi it works very well and if promoted on the level Apple is. Apple would be in serious trouble. Then all Apple would be left with are those over priced sleek, pretty, bright and shiny iToys that give you kids a stiffy...:eyebrows:

Apple makes more money on their iToys than PCs now anyways.

The only person who is incapable of comprehending them is the person who brought them up as examples of "bleeding edge development". Unless, of course, you think that fixing a few driver issues is bleeding edge...

Again that's where "bleeding edge development" is in Linux.
It surely ain't in OS X....:D

Actually, for the reading comprehension-impaired, I am the one who's been opining for almost the past year that Linux on the desktop is a failure. There is no need to play with the numbers, anyone should be able to read how Linux's market share is hovering around the 1% mark and has been for about two years now. Apple's OSes are growing by leaps and bounds by comparison to the rest of the market.

Linux fanbois can comfort themselves with the "argument" that their failure resides in Apple's marketing prowess but when the real geeks, the developers are overwhelmingly using OS X to work on, then, that's not marketing at work. They know which OS is best for their needs.

So, like I've opined before, I think it's only a matter of time before Linux desktop development will slow and eventually die off.

Fanbois and their toys....

He's just a blithering idiot, has been for years now...
That is a very relative term my little Apple fanboi Idiot.
What it comes down to is choice.
You can get a Windows box for a reasonable price.
Or you can pay up to triple or more for an Apple box.
Or you can add Linux to your box which will do everything for FREE!

Now who is the real idiot grasshopper?....:D
