A sportswriter is suggesting that Derek might be taking human growth hormone. How else to explain he is having the best year of an already great career at age 38? (Note: Barry Bonds also had his best years after age 35.)
ESPN's Skip Bayless.Who is suggesting such an outrage against maybe the best player of our generation.
I thought we were talking about Derek Jeter, not Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, or even Ken 'Griffey Jr. (> Jeter).Who is suggesting such an outrage against maybe the best player of our generation.
I think Skip Baylsis was the one who started the storm of this topic . He didn't say Jeter did roids ( HGH ) but with what has happened in baseball in this last decade , it is hard not to think about cheating when somebody in baseball is doing something unusual . Heck even JeterA sportswriter is suggesting that Derek might be taking human growth harmone. How else to explain he is having the best year of an already great career at age 38? ^^ and Jeter's response is always the one used by many a dirty player.
Time will tell on this one. If more conclusive evidince presents itself, a firmer conclusion can be drawn.
His averages are still consistent, much like Ripken. I for one will give Jeter the benefit of the doubt here, unless something more comcrete is given.
Why is baseball being picked on ? If Kobe Bryant can prolong his career by taking HGH ( speculation ) will we be as hard on him then if a baseball player does it ? IF Alfredsson does it ( speculate ) or Duck's Temo does it are we wondering or having these same discussionsYou have to worry about it....OF COURSE...... To keep a fair playing field.
Because, other 38 year olds are not using.
Its one thing if we say ...ok free for all...use what you like!!
But that is not the case....FAIRNESS IS THE ISSUE.

I did say that Jeter's numbers are consistent throughout his career Bargnani and I give him the benefit of the doubt. And no, I am not worried about what these guys put into their bodies. Is Jeter's accomplishing anything this year that he has never done before ??? No and so why should we even worry about it . If HGH allows a older body to withstand a 160 game schedule then why should we worry if he is using it or not .
A-Rod, Pettite, Clemens, etc.nor does it say the Yankee organization is for peformance enhancing drugs,
