The West is in general, and we are betting on the wrong reasons to keep it alive (carbon), and the current US government is making enemies, when it should be making economic blocks.

I won't be surprised the U.S.and Russia will repair their relation
and forge strong economic tie after the Ukraine war. Russia will
need investment of capital and technology into its oil industry
postwar very badly which the U.S. will gladly profit from.

I'd agree we've admitted far too many immigrants than
we need in the last few years. That being said I would
not point to ethnic origin of the majority of recent immigrants
as the reason we want a shift in our immigration policy.
