Ukraine did not need to kowtow to Russia it needed to implement the agreements it signed and which were brokered by France, Germany and the UNSC. Its failure to so has been its undoing. Except where are they? Many have treaties and trade ties with the West. Others have their own problems and concerns. Others want to sell oil.
