However it does seem shall we say "selective" that Israel is held to a different standard than other countries which do exactly the same things.
well if Israel is going to claim its a democracy then yes it should be held to different standards, in the same way Canada, US and Britain would never be judged on the same scale as Syria and Saudi Arabia.

You didn't answer his question. You wrote that Israel exists on "occupied" land and then he asked you whether or not you think Israel has a right to exist and why you don't think that the UN Resolution that created it is valid?

Does Israel have a right to exist in Palestine?

Is it your view that Israel is "occupying" the land assigned to them during the original partition of the Palestinian Mandate?

sure it has a right to exist but the Israel lobby can sing and dance and spin history all they want, the facts are the present day of Eretz Israel was built on the land and blood of others who didnt fit into its character model, some were allowed to stay and continue to scrape along with the second rate existence for what the rah rah Israel crowd calls the only democracy in the Middle East, that title should really only go to present day Turkey.

Don't people keep claiming that Hamas was democratically elected? Why aren't they held to that same standard?

Arabs living in Israel have more rights and a better standard of living than Arabs in any Arab country do and contrary to your claim are not in any way "second class citizens" in Israel.

This is directly unlike the situation in Arab nations where non-Muslims in those countries really ARE second class citizens with fewer rights than muslims have.

The funny thing about most of your claims is that they are exactly the OPPOSITE of the truth: You say Arabs in Israel are scraping by; actually they're better off than anywhere else. Hilarious.

Sorry for reposting this but it seems that scouser must have missed my comment.
