so ur saying i don't need a license to buy my 500 magnum tomorrow?Bill C-19 passed its third and final reading in the Senate today, and heads for Royal Assent tomorrow.
The Long Gun Registry is dead.
Pistols are restricted and still registered. It's long guns that are no longer registered, but you still need a license to buy/sell/own one legally--you just don't need to tell the government about it.so ur saying i don't need a license to buy my 500 magnum tomorrow?

I guess size does matter.Pistols are restricted and still registered. It's long guns that are no longer registered, but you still need a license to buy/sell/own one legally--you just don't need to tell the government about it.
Without wanting to hijack this thread, what firearms am I allowed to purchase in Ontario without a license?
To carry a weapon, what permit do I need?
You still need a license. Without a license all you can purchase are antique firearms. You can't carry a concealed firearm, and you can only load a firearm in a place where it's legal to use. So only at a shooting range, hunting grounds. You can't load a firearm in your home in Toronto for example because you can't legally discharge in the city.diehard said:Without wanting to hijack this thread, what firearms am I allowed to purchase in Ontario without a license?
