I think along with the Bobcats the Raptors have clinched worst NBA franchise of the last decade...
Warriors too. They had that one series where they upset the Mavs, but that's it.

Watching Knicks-Nuggets, it's clear we drafted the wrong Italian. Gallinari actually looks like he gives a crap and didn't just roll out of bed like Bargnani. Maybe he actually eats real pasta, not Primo pasta and sauce.

Bargnani never gets happy or sad, his emotions are always flat, which is a sharp contrast to Valanciunas who's always full of emotion and heart. Bargnani is just so bad, he's 7 feet tall, but he can't rebound or block, all he ever does is shoot threes, so what's the point of having him? Why not just get a 6 footer who can shoot threes all day? He's not as big of a disappointment as other number 1 overall picks like Greg Oden, Kwame Brown, Michael Olowokandi, but he's still a bust as a number 1 pick. Obviously it was better to choose Bargs over Brandon Roy, but he's still a bust, I think he'd be worthwhile to take as a 20th overall pick, and as a player who comes off the bench.

I'd add Darko to tath list of recent busts. Bargs is an intriguing player but just not the piece to build a team around.

+1 on Gallinari. I like the way he plays with emotion as well.

The real issue that the team needs to do is to successfully sign a real FA and manage to keep a star.

I can't remember the last big FA aquisition.

QUESTION: NOT SURE IF THIS WAS ANSWERED ALREADY..I understand the raptors don't have a draft pick next year, does that mean even if they finish last overall they get NO PICK? as much as I follow the game, I don't understand the draft process .
Guess you can say he 'pulled a Burke'.

Here's my bitch with Bargnani: he has the talent, but he only uses it when HE feels like. We watched him perform last year (before the injury) and he shut the critics(me included) up. This year we expected to see what we saw last year and he reverted back to his old ways. He has the talent but lacks the motivation. At this point in his career he should be in a leadership role, that sure isn't happening.
At the time he was drafted he was the right choice, he just hasn't performed as was expectected, and he sure hasn't performed as #1 overall is expected to perform.

I think the problem with Raps is Bargs is the most talented player on the roster and he knows that . There isn't a allstar on this roster ( like when Bosh was here ) that can get in Barg's face and say " what the fuck " . He is a male Deva ..

It's a shame to see someone with natural talent waste it away because he's a lazy ass, or whatever his problem is.
You would think if he doesn't have a work ethic or some pride, the millions he's getting paid would motivate him to show
his employers that he deserves all those $$$.
Bargnani doesn't care, even if he won the lottery tomorrow he'd just shrug and have that lost stare that he always has. He wins the lottery every year with his yearly salary, he doesn't care. He'd have the same expression on his face even if he was back on the streets of Rome slicing prosciutto for hungry customers.

I'd put them third worst. With that series alone they've accomplished more the Raptors have done (in a tougher conference), and now their roster is night and day better than the Colangelo Raptors.

Wow, this is the most abysmal showing of basketball by both teams I have ever seen, but I can't look away it's so terrible.

Amir gets thrown out of the game for trying to wrestle the ball away from the Ref in between free throws then throws his mouthpiece at the ref! Unbelievable!

Only reason I'm watching this game is that MNF is over.

I'm going to bed instead of watching this crap.

Without the NHL, the Raptors could have the spotlight on them all season, and they choose to SUCK! It literally was a choice. They are gawd aweful. Refunds should be handed out to all season's ticket holders. They are spitting in the face of Torontonians.

I'm absolutely disgusted with this team, I hate the excuses given by Colangelo and Casey, fire them both, and trade Bargnani already. The fact that Colangelo said Casey's job is safe and that there's no way he'll get fired just shows you how committed he is to winning. Now Casey doesn't have to try any harder, he knows he won't get fired even if they finish the season 4-78.

I'm used to the Raptors losing and sucking, but this year they're taking it to a whole other level. They're on pace to finish with the worst record in their history and instead of owning up to their suckiness they're just making excuses. MLSE gets a lot of money out of me, but if Larry Tannenbaum doesn't right this ship quickly he won't be getting anymore money out of me. What a horrible embarrasment this team is to our city.

This team is in rough shape.. as bad as it was when Mighty Mouse and Isaiah were shown the door, or when Vince was traded for a kick in the balls.
The locker room must be a really tense place to be and they are calling each other out.. Well they are calling out Bargs to his face for sure if this article has any truth, along with Mike James II Lowry.

I'm not upset because it all points to the man in charge and if this season doesn't end BC's tenure here after a craptastic 7 years, nothing will.

I know firing GM is one of the options but when you have guys like McMillan out there why isn't MLSE opening up their wallets ? Also Colengelo's downfall maybe his love affair with Bargs . Bargs will tease you with his allstar abilty but you can't make him your go to guy . Also has anyone wondered why a player who is only 25yrs old was on the market for only a 1st round pic ? The Rockets I think were fed up with the soap opera they had with thier two PG last year
and got rid of them both and it seems Lawry brought his act to T.O.

Everyone keeps talking about Valunciunas being some great saviour?? He's mediocre at best. There are more talented, athletic players that other teams have picked up in the second round. It seems every team we play these days has a superior player that I hadn't even heard of, never mind picked in the top of the first round.

This organization's draft record in the second round ( heck even late 1st round ) has been pathetic .

Wonky JV is not the savior but he has the potential to be a very good player in this league. He is not a James or a Kobe but he is a significant piece on a team they doesn't have much. My biggest concern with him will he be taught to settle for mediocrity like a lot of his team mates appear to have? Currently he is the last player I would consider trading.
The overall performance of the players on this team have reduced their value so much you can't get anything for them in a trade. Calderone's expiring contract maybe the best asset on this team from a trading point of view.
If Casey doesn't get them to start playing defense with consistent intensity, they may have trouble winning 10 games. Pretty sad isn't it?!?
