Seems that Karen, riding her bicycle, decided to break the law today and disobeyed a stop sign. She was suitably charged by the Police! Wonder if she did it to gain sympathy for her Mayoral run!

Funny how the media jumped all over Ford back in the day when he was caught reading in a car. It was suggested he needed this, needed that, needed a driver. Etc etc etc. The Liberal media was all over him.

Not a peep on the Stintz matter!

It is quite comical fmahovalich equates someone reading while driving may kill somebody while someone on a bike going through a stop sign is only a danger to themselves. I also agree that calling Karen Stints as a liberal is someone who doesn't know what he is talking about.

Wrong. A motorist attempting to avoid a bicyclist could end up harming him or herself or others. You just made fmahovalich's point about how people will only pounce on people they do not share sympathies with. Or, you just didn't think your comment through.

Sorry, but most drivers aren't a whole lot better. hogging the passing lane, cutting people off, speeding, aggressive driving, high beams on all the time, talking and texting, eating, ignoring stop signs, rolling stops, turns when they're forbidden (no left turn during rush hour, no right turn on red, no passing on solid yellow lines, etc. etc.

That's funny, I wish I had a dime for every time I've been riding and seen a driver disobey the rules of the road. I'd be fucking rich by now. Literally every time I commute to work and home I see at least 1 driver do something illegal.

Stintz bikes, and runs in the same charity races I enter - Yonge Street 10K , Scotiabank 1/2 Marathon...if she wasn't a Conservative I might even consider voting for her!

Stintz is seen as one of the centre-right members of council, and backed John Tory for mayor. On council she has been a leader of the conservative Responsible Government Group with Case Ootes. She has been a member of the both provincial and federal conservative parties.

Rob and Doug Ford, every Sunday afternoon on Newstalk 1010. That's who is "all baby about" their problems, allegations against them. And they do much worse than post photos, they toss childish insults and hurl immature potshots at people.

It's a dumb law that deserves to be broken. Cyclists should be allowed to treat stop signs as yield signs like they can in Idaho.
