The job is ageing her though. Should have had a better wig on Undercover Boss Canada too.The key issue that is being missed here is that Karen Stintz is hot:

Right and Idaho has as many bicyclist as Toronto. It's a dumb law that deserves to be broken. Cyclists should be allowed to treat stop signs as yield signs like they can in Idaho.
It's still a stupid law. I do wish they got tougher on cyclists going through red lights though.Right and Idaho has as many bicyclist as Toronto.
There's not much different between a red light and a stop sign, except I can't remember the last time I saw a bicyclist stop for a stop sign. It's still a stupid law. I do wish they got tougher on cyclists going through red lights though.
Rolling stops should be enough. There's not much different between a red light and a stop sign, except I can't remember the last time I saw a bicyclist stop for a stop sign.
Got a source on this? I don't recall it.A guy on a bike struck and killed a woman last week in the west end!!
Yeah, this sort of thing really shows who the poster is. Not interested in what is really dangerous, just going for political points. It is quite comical fmahovalich equates someone reading while driving may kill somebody while someone on a bike going through a stop sign is only a danger to themselves. I also agree that calling Karen Stints as a liberal is someone who doesn't know what he is talking about.
Yes. I agree that cyclists break a lot of rules, but so do drivers. Of these two groups, whose lawbreaking causes the greater harm?Sorry, but most drivers aren't a whole lot better. hogging the passing lane, cutting people off, speeding, aggressive driving, high beams on all the time, talking and texting, eating, ignoring stop signs, rolling stops, turns when they're forbidden (no left turn during rush hour, no right turn on red, no passing on solid yellow lines, etc. etc.
If there isn't any difference, why do we have both? There's not much different between a red light and a stop sign, except I can't remember the last time I saw a bicyclist stop for a stop sign.
She's trying to make a point about idiot law enforcement. I've seen a lot of cop cyclists breaking the rules - once riding on a sidewalk, probably because being on the road would mean that they would be going the wrong way on a one way. Not that I don't see cop cyclists doing that too. Regarding the time of day: as I recall, there have been several reports of Rob Ford showing up for work around noon, such as this one <http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2013/05/31/ring_down_the_curtain_on_mayor_rob_fords_spectacle_dimanno.html>The bigger issue of course, is why she is so petty posting it online.....and secondly, why is she out cycling at 9:42 am on the taxpayer dime?
You being a Ford puppet, you of all people should know why since Ford is constantly on the football field during football season on the taxpayer dime when he should be in the office, although I recognize that won't be an issue any longer, lol.The bigger issue of course, is why she is so petty posting it online.....and secondly, why is she out cycling at 9:42 am on the taxpayer dime?
You were seven hours later than the first TERB thread on this. Too bad that lag-time didn't reflect research on the event or sober reflection on its insignificance.Seems that Karen, riding her bicycle, decided to break the law today and disobeyed a stop sign. She was suitably charged by the Police! Wonder if she did it to gain sympathy for her Mayoral run!
The Liberals want their bikes....but they can't break the law as well
Funny how the media jumped all over Ford back in the day when he was caught reading in a car. It was suggested he needed this, needed that, needed a driver. Etc etc etc. The Liberal media was all over him.
Not a peep on the Stintz matter!
Here you go.Got a source on this? I don't recall it.
If you don't know, then maybe you shouldn't be driving? I also didn't say, 'there isn't any different'.If there isn't any difference, why do we have both?
she is chair of the TTCSince she's none of the above, what code are you referring to?
I don't see the inconsequential slice so I can't choosehow would you rate the seriousness of this issue on the following chart:

... Or a car driver. This is the cycling equivalent of an under 10 over the limit speeding ticket.I wish I had a dime for every time I've been out driving and had a cyclist disobey the rules of the road.
You have your tongue so far up Ford's ass that you are rejoicing that one of his political "opposents" got a ticket for not coming to a full stop while cycling? Really? This is not news, it's completely and utterly irrelevant. The only people who care are people like you - so committed to Ford that you jump on anything remotely negative about any politican who disagrees with the Mayor. If you think that Stintz ticket is so important, why are you not howling for Ford to be removed because of his, much more serious, past traffic offense? You would think our duly elected representatives would know better!
