You are correct, but the Leafs ( first round playoff casualties ) are still more profitable than even the Stanley Cup winning teams at the end of the day.
From when Matts Sundin left…..to the Brandon Shanahan arrival…those were some sad years for the Toronto Maple Leafs. They finally bottomed out and landed Auston Mattews.

I admire Reilly’s love for the team and the city, but unfortunately he’s not the no. 1 d man like those with cup winners or serious contenders. He doesn’t bring enough offence, can’t quarterback the pp and is weak defensively. The second highest paid d Brodie is another over the hill player on this team.
Leafs have won "one" stinking playoff series in 20 years. Disgusting ! Mitch Marner gave up on the play and let Pasternak fly past him. Marner has to go. If he blocks a trade then sit him. And contrary to what the media seems to be thinking, just because this Friday news conference has Keith Pelly, Brendan Shanahan and Brad Treveling together at the same table is not necessarily a sign of solidarity. It is a joint news conference. That is all it is. An opportunity for media to question all 3 with Pelly about to take over control. An end of season news conference. Doesn't mean all 3 will be together by the time Keith Pelly officially takes over. Keith Pelly can still fire both Shanahan and Treveling. Firing Keefe is just a formality. I think that is the consensus among most business experts. It just seems to make the most sense.
The bigger question here is who is making the hockey decisions here. Is it Shanahan or Treliving? Or is it a big secret. Nobody knows.

D wasn't their weakness against Boston. The last 3 games were decided by 1 goal. It was special teams that sucked. The PP was 1/21 which is pathetic.
