Why are games done off a monitor ? Can the broadcasters not travel ? Mind you the Calgary and Vancouver broadcasts are remote too, I hope Game 5 will be on radio / streaming.Bowen's call of the winning goal reminds me of his call in 1993 of Borschevsky's series winning goal against Detroit in Game 7. "Bless you boys!!!!!!!!!".
Poor Joe, he now has to call the road games off a monitor.
This ^^^ 100%. Glad the Leafs proved me wrong and dug deep to pull one out, but there is still a LOT of hockey left to play in this series and even down 3-1 we're unlikely to see TB simply rollover without a fight.Leafs aren't done until they finish off the Lighting. The series isn't won yet.
Hoping TB is running out of gas, finally. There were times this year they looked vulnerable. This ^^^ 100%. Rogers is trying to save money so they don't send radio play-by-play/ colour commentators on the road with the sports teams anymore. Why are games done off a monitor ? Tampa will drag Bunting into scrums, Bunting will get a glove in the face and Bunting will throw a jab back and he ends up in the box, PP Tampa. Tampa's PP is still lethal in this series. There’s no way Keefe brings Bunting back in until they start losing or if someone is injured. It’s a good thing that the refs are now picking the most aggressive guy out in a scrum so that pretty well stops the Lightning from their bullying tactics. Bunting is not a ref favourites and he may be a target in any scrums he’s in.
Now that the excitement for the big comeback win is subsiding, I‘d say luck is on our side or we could easily be down 1-3 instead of up 3-1. The didn‘t play well for two periods in game 3 and a quick whistle saved them from being down 2. Miracle comebacks happen once in a long while so they better play hard from start to finish or the momentum may swing out of control.
One more win by the Leafs, TB will be eliminated and arrogant head coach Jon Cooper can eat his cigar instead of smoking it. May be he will beHoping TB is running out of gas, finally. There were times this year they looked vulnerable.
....if you're Keefe or Dubas. However, they are not my priority.Let's see the Leafs beat TB first. IMHO, if the Leafs beat TB, then Keefe and Dubas, keep their jobs. If that happens, then it doesn't matter, how the Leafs do against Boston....
They've won 3 in a row without him.IMHO, Bunting will play on Thurs night, and either Lafferty, or Aston-Reese, will be scratched!!
Imagine the backlash on Keefe if he puts Bunting in and they lose because he takes another stupid penalty which he’s quite capable of ?IMHO, Bunting will play on Thurs night, and either Lafferty, or Aston-Reese, will be scratched!!
The Leafs will probably feel like they're playing with house money if they go up against Boston, who will definitely have the most pressure to win after their historic regular season. Fingers crossed that they'll finally slay the first round dragon.Let's see the Leafs beat TB first. IMHO, if the Leafs beat TB, then Keefe and Dubas, keep their jobs. If that happens, then it doesn't matter, how the Leafs do against Boston.
Hope they just stick with the current lineup. Seems to be working, no signs that Bunting brought something to the table that isn't already there with the current horses. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.Probably Bunting will play, and Lafferty, will be scratched.
Here's whyVassy has been horrible. Leafs are shooting from distance and getting men in front of him.
One of the criticisms on Reilly is his lack of a power point shot but I think he’s learnt, at least I’ve seen that in this series, to shoot the puck at the net without a big wind up for a tip in or screened goalie. The forwards have done a great job doing just that. On the tying goal Tavares did a great job screeningVasilevskiy. You can’t save what you can’t see and once a shot is tipped, the goalie has no time to react. The Leafs don't really have any long distance shooters. So it would have to be a long distance shot with men (or women and/or trans) in front of Vassy.
Below is an example of a long distance shooter (Jacques Lemaire).
