McKenzie thinks that if the Isles loose tonight to the rags, Peca might end up in Toronto or Ottawa, the fishsticks are trying to dump salary. They would get rid of Ca$hin in a heartbeat if were not for his ridiculous 10 year contract.

Some of the names from Ottawa include Bonk or Havlat. Despite everything Peca brings, I wouldnt want to get rid of Havlat, theres just too much upside potential with "Mach 9", Leaf fans probably feel the same way about Stajan.

I remember Peca in the days, but these days hes going no where, 10 points in 23 games is far below his potential. Maybe he needs a boost to his career by being traded, but i agree i wouldn't be trading Havlat for him. --- Kev

Giving up youth for Peca is a foolish move regardless if it's the Leafs or the Sens. I wouldn't trade Stajan even up for Peca let alone as part of a package. The Leafs have been jerking their younger players around for too long now. You can't truly evaluate
a kid in an 8 game trial. Just adjusting to life in the big city.................let alone playing with bigger faster grown men takes a lot more time. It's a fine line between them getting enough ice time to develop and destroying their confidence. They finally got it right with Stajan.

Note to Kevs: sure would appreciate another insult or two about the Blue 'n' White. It's the Wings tonight and we might need your help. LOL

Craven maybe its not appropriate for a Westerner to stick his nose out East for the soul purpose of poking fun at the Leafs.

I'm not sure what it is but its almost a Canuck fans duty to hate the Leafs. I don't see the reverse of that with Leaf fans toward the Canucks, but its an old tradition with us so i say why mess with it.

However i don't like the Leafs, i never will like the Leafs, and when they sink to the bottom, i will be the first to say "i told you so." LOL :D --- Kev

Looks like the Leafs didn't need any help tonight. 5-2 over my beloved Wings. The Leafs impressed me with their defensive discipline, particularly the forwards playing both ways - something I haven't seen much of from them in recent years.
Playing the other (except Chicago) O6 teams only once sure does suck! It seems to have sucked the life out of the games. I think there were only 2 or 3 penalties the whole game?? Not much passion, for sure.

The Wings in the third looked dreadful tonite. They definitely were not playing up to there potential. They had the same problem when the played Vancouver. No worries though they'll pick it up. --- Kev

It doesn't bother me at all about the way the Westerners view the East. It all comes down to politics I guess (or maybe you just hate the Leafs for whatever reason) and the fact most of the PM's in recent years have come from Quebec. Also, with the dreadful and disgraceful way the federal Liberals have performed at times I don't really blame you.
But when someone starts a post by calling my team 'useless clowns' I will definitely respond. My loyalty knows no bounds and I will defend my loved ones till the death. LOL
Anyway.........it's cool and I now consider it 'water under the bridge'. Just help me keep this thread alive until the Leafs lose one. (Goober's right: us Leaf fans don't have a lot of common sense................and we are also very superstitious)

I sure hope so !! But it's only December and they're in the thick of the West race.

Hated to see my boys lose, but hats off to the Leafs. Well-deserved victory and great work by the forwards who were coming back and doing the grunt work as if they enjoyed it. If they sell out like that in the playoffs, they could go far...

This is nice to see. A fan of another team who gives credit where it's due rather than come on with the "Leafs suck...........blah, blah, blah." Good job Speedo.
The Wings are a very classy organization and the way they go about things should be a blueprint for the rest of the NHL.
Every time I watch them I just can't help but think what a wonderful sight it would be to see Shanny in Blue 'n' White.
Yeah........I know. But I can dream can't I? LOL
