So if masks are so effective, can somebody please explain why it doesnt seem to affect daily new cases in Ontario and some other countries.
Ontario has seen a decline new cases starting around the first week of May. Masks were made mandatory around the first week of July in most of Ontario, As you can see there's a slight decline when masks were made mandatory (red line) but new infections were already on the decline (see green line). So it doesnt seem to have made any difference, at least in Ontario.
Now lets have a look at Sweden. They never made masks mandatory (thanks for that info doggystyle). You can see a huge decline in new infections starting around the first week of July, and has been steadily declining ever since.
But in stark contrast, Greece did make masks mandatory and their new daily cases have been rising sharply over the last few months.
So if masks are so effective, how can there have been a drastic decline in new cases in Sweden but a huge uptick in Greece??
And how come masks seem to have made no difference in Ontario's new infections. We had 106 new cases yesterday, almost the exact same amount as we had on June 26th of this year.
Please explain that one to me.
And for the record, here is where I stand on the issue.
I'll be waiting for your genius answers

- I am pro social distancing.
- I am pro partial lockdowns.
- I am pro-mask on public transport and other areas where people are close together.
- I am anti-mask in stores (so long as people keep 2 metres apart).
- I am anti-mask in shopping malls (it makes no sense to walk around the Eaton Centre with a mask on).
