I think there is a legitimate comparison re: talent. The Jays, it seems, can't play up to their level of talent either as individuals or more importantly as a team. When you look at the Jays and compare them to the teams in the playoffs, there really is no comparison.
I disagree at least when it comes to the Jays full-strength batting line-up. Scored 9th out of all teams (with huge number of days missed by the best of them) which is not bad at all. If they can find quality replacements at 2B and catcher the line-up will be very competitive next year. When you look at the Jays and compare them to the teams in the playoffs, there really is no comparison. I don't know how many more years it'll be before they hit the playoffs again, but I'd be surprised if it were within 5 years. .![]()
I think the Tigers are done for, their bats are cold and the A's have their number. The Tigers had their chance last year, you can't go to the WS every year! By the way, I am a Tigers fan.Lets go Tigers!
So who needs talent who can't get the job done? That isn't winning talent. Look at Oakland. Bunch of no names but they get the job done. That's talent!I think there is a legitimate comparison re: talent. The Jays, it seems, can't play up to their level of talent either as individuals or more importantly as a team.
Cards did win. So, Dodgers vs Cards.I'm liking the Dodgers at this point. Rotation set up nicely for the NLCS, while the Cards have to burn Wainwright tonight (I suspect they'll win).
Boy Cards really miss Alberto Pujols ... I bet they regret not giving him 200 million dollars .Cards did win. So, Dodgers vs Cards.
I thought Albert had a bad year in 2013.Boy Cards really miss Alberto Pujols ... I bet they regret not giving him 200 million dollars .
I was being sarcastic .I thought Albert had a bad year in 2013.
2013: 17 HR, .258 BA, 64 RBI,
That's right there in Vernon Wells territory.I was being sarcastic .
This his salary for next 8 years
2014: $23 million; 2015: $24 million
2016: $25 million; 2017: $26 million
2018: $27 million; 2019: $28 million

Maybe the Angels will trade Pujols to the Yanks like they did with Wells. That's right there in Vernon Wells territory.
Will they trade Pujols before or after they sign Cano?:wink:Maybe the Angels will trade Pujols to the Yanks like they did with Wells.
