Cardinals looked good last night. AJ Burnett for the Pirates was awful - couldn't locate his pitches. A sorry sight.

I'm going for Boston, Detroit, Cardinals and Dodgers.

I only cheer for two teams in Baseball:

The Toronto Blue Jays and anyone playing against the Atlanta (chop chop) Braves. Blech!!

When you look at the Jays and compare them to the teams in the playoffs, there really is no comparison. I don't know how many more years it'll be before they hit the playoffs again, but I'd be surprised if it were within 5 years. But look at the Pirates. Took them 20 years to get back, and see how happy their fans are now. Must have been worth the wait.:D

I think there is a legitimate comparison re: talent. The Jays, it seems, can't play up to their level of talent either as individuals or more importantly as a team.

I've been accused (not totally always inappropriately) of being a homer and supporting management but even I, the shackster, do not think that Gibbons should have been brought back.

I'm really, really hoping that Gibbons has an extremely short leash but even more so, that Alex doesn't have to pull it.

I disagree at least when it comes to the Jays full-strength batting line-up. Scored 9th out of all teams (with huge number of days missed by the best of them) which is not bad at all. If they can find quality replacements at 2B and catcher the line-up will be very competitive next year.

Starting pitching at 27th or so, is where it all fell down. But it's where they started to recover last bit of the season so next year should be better, especially if they can strengthen it further with returning pitchers or trades.

Lets go Tigers!
I think the Tigers are done for, their bats are cold and the A's have their number. The Tigers had their chance last year, you can't go to the WS every year! By the way, I am a Tigers fan.

So who needs talent who can't get the job done? That isn't winning talent. Look at Oakland. Bunch of no names but they get the job done. That's talent!

The only drawback for these playoff games is the length of time...4 hours+ already for a few games, it's quite draining!

I'm liking the Dodgers at this point. Rotation set up nicely for the NLCS, while the Cards have to burn Wainwright tonight (I suspect they'll win).

When will teams learn...Cano is seeking 10 years/$305million allegedly, he's 31. He shouldn't get anywhere near that.

I like the Dodgers, even if Kemp is missing. I think the Red Sox will win the ALCS regardless of who they play, but Detroit would give them a run for their money (should they win tonight).
