Curious question ?

Why would that mean that he is not a Christian ?

All religions would have good/bad

I think I read something once about a Christian priest raping a alter boy somewhere once

Surprisingly not all of us turn the other cheek. I much prefer doing unto others , hard fast and deadly, before they do unto me.:D

What country could exist by granting votes to people who would vote to destroy it ????
Canada is one that comes to mind. Hell, we even pay them for it and put them up in a condo in Ottawa.

Sometimes, when the stars align just right, they even become Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition!

The problem in Israel is more serious of course !

If they allow all the ''refugees'' to obtain Israeli citizenship then they outnumber the Jews . They vote to change the flag, the nationality, and the name of the country. Then they export the Jews ( best case scenerio)

No country on earth would do this.

This is the fundamental problem of any nation that writes religion or race into its constitution. I appreciate that Israel's neighbours do too. It's wrong all around.

A democracy should be blind to the race or religion of its citizens.

Well, here's a little ditty hot off the presses from Iran where this moderate fellow thinks that any women who do not wear their scarfs should die.

That's nice....

Tehran, 19 Dec. (AKI) - A top Muslim cleric in Iran, Hojatolislam Gholam Reza Hassani said on Wednesday that women in Iran who do not wear the hijab or Muslim headscarf, should die.

"Women who do not respect the hijab and their husbands deserve to die," said Hassani, who leads Friday prayers in the city of Urumieh, in Iranian Azerbaijan.

"I do not understand how these women who do not respect the hijab, 28 years after the birth of the Islamic Republic, are still alive," he said.

"These women and their husbands and their fathers must die," said Hassani, who is the representative of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in eastern Azerbaijan.

Hassani's statements came after two Kurdish feminists in Iran were accused of being members of an armed rebel group and of carrying out subversive activities threatening the security of the state.

It is believed that his statements and the arrests could spark a fresh crackdown on women who do not repect the Islamic dress code in Iran.

Thousands of women in Iran have already been warned this year for their "un-Islamic dress" such as wearing tight, short coats and skimpy headscarves.

Here is another reason public funding of religious schools isn't a good idea. The education system should be secular - I'm with Dalton on this. The legal system should be secular too. People should adapt to Canadian culture. Maybe in Afganistan this kind of "honour killing" might be acceptable to some people, but not here. If Sharia courts had been set up in Ontario...
Except that Dalton DOES NOT BELIEVE IN SECULAR SCHOOLS. His wife teaches in a separate school (aka publicly funded RELIGIOUS SCHOOL) and his children attend same.

Dalton is a hypocryt on this issue.

John Tory is just a bad politician (i.e. he tells you what he believe in, not what you want to hear).

and there is the underlying problem of Eretz Israel, one cannot claim to be a true democracy and treat a segment of its citizens as second class, otherwise you are just a step up on the other countries in the neighbourhood which is a really low low level, and can be more like Syria where everyone is treated like dirt equally regardless of religion or nationality.
