I recently bought the Garmin Nuvi 650 and love it. Didn't need the bluetooth so the 650 is otherwise loaded and has an awesome bright, wide screen.
GPS have restaurants, golf courses, attractions, etc. Mapquest (or even better Google maps) is fantastic, but when you are on the road and don't have access to the internet a sense of direction helps but can cause a waste of time, gas and frustration when you want to find a certain address, restaurant or restaurant type. I have used GPS all across North America and Europe and have found them to be extremely useful. As well, reading paper directions when driving can be very dangerous. I don't know anyone who has a GPS that uses it to get to the grocery store.... perhaps an exaggeration...or just a stupid comment!elmufdvr said:i am one of the few that has a good sence of direction.. don't need a gps. if i need directions i will map quest it on line. i thought these units are usefull to those on the road very often . it seems that everyone now has to have one and they need it to get to the grocery store. i guess some are just stupid.
