Garbage casino. No theme just a big warehouse of 6:5 blackjack tables and $100 limit baac tables. Another soul sucking lifeless non poker room building made by “great” canadian gaming.
You looking for $10 bj tables with 3:2? Good luck . You can't even find that on the Vegas strip.

$10? No. $25? Would be nice. $50? Yes.

3:2 starts at $100 in the new Casino Toronto wing of Woodbine.

In Brantford (Great Canadian) and most of the casinos on the strip in Vegas when I was there at least 6 months ago have $25 3:2.

This is incorrect. The hotel is opening Aug 1. The poker room is not opening until later and the date has not been determined.

underground poker clubs will still be running as long as they can keep their rake below the whopping $15+ $1 (bad beat drop) rake at the casino.
There is no justification now for underground to charge a $15 rake. Otherwise just go to Woodbine for better security, better cheating deterrent, and a wider array of players. Hence why I asked what will happen to underground. Is the underground experience really that good? I suppose there's food.

That's the tournament registration fee. I think some places even include dealer gratuity in the buy-in. So even less going into the prize pool.

Casinos obviously need to charge rake as it's the only way they make money from poker. Rake in LV and across the US is way, way cheaper than it is here as casinos in Vegas charge like 10% up to $5 -$6 max for 1/2 NL and have all the bad beat and high hand jackpots.

$15 + $1 is too high for a small game like 1/3 NL with a max buy in of $300. Every time the pot reaches $150, $15 is going to the house and is never put back into play on the table ($1 for the very unlikely chance you hit the bad beat). If everyone bought in $300 and no one buys any more chips, all the chips will end up in the rake. There's only a couple of ways to really beat the rake, playing very few big pots (and winning), and hitting and running. If others are aware you are doing this, they may think twice before calling any of your bets.

I find session fee games to be better for my playing style.

It's wide spread in Vegas as well for lower limit tables, at least in the casinos on The Strip.

Woodbine has had 6:5 for most of their $25 and $50 tables as well if I recall correctly. I visited a few times and never went back. Looks like the new Toronto Casino 'wing' is more of the same.

Brantford (owned by the same company) still has 3:2 $25 tables but is small, usually only 4-8 blackjack tables going even on busier nights (weekend) so I stopped going there months ago.
I've been to Vegas about 15-20 and never seen it, although last time there was about 10 years ago. I was in the Bahamas last August and never played anything bigger than a $25 table and never saw it their either. Lots of big money there as well.

Anyways, not doubting you at all, just saying that I've never seen it.

Vegas has been like this for years. And steadily expanded to where the Strip its most tables now. Same with adding 00 and even 000 to roulette tables. And comps becoming non existing for low tier players.
In the 70's, my parents regularly did junkets to LV where flights, accommodations, dinners in the hotel and shows at any hotel were comped.

The gambling stips were that my dad had to play $25 minimum for 3-4 hours a day and he had to withdraw at least $5K in chips over the Thursday-Sunday trip.

My oh my, how times have changed.

I saw at least 5 tables with $50 minimum bets, continuous shuffle machines and 6:5 blackjacks. It was then I went back to observing the $100 tables so I could get chute and 3:2 blackjack. I'm not a fan of playing heads up and had to accept (both trips) to playing with just 2 players against the dealer most of the time at best.

You have to go to Freemont now. Funny enough I played at the El Cortez. You would think dive but inside are good players, old school vibe, good staff. I also have a fondness for the old Golden Gate.

Ah, Vegas in the 70s, Those were the days. Most shows were free entrance and the bigger you tipped the maitre d, the better seat you got. And buffets were great, breakfast lunch and dinner, and cheap, and the booze was free as long as you were gambling.
