Well, we all know what time of year it is, so I needn't remind you. But seeing as I haven't seen a thread on it yet, I'm going to start one.

What are your New Year's Resolutions?

Try to be serious, and share with us what your goals or resolutions are for the up coming year.

Now I ask you to be serious, because I could say one of my resolutions is to hobby like HOF. Or book the likes of Amanda and Becky for a 12 hour marathon to see who/what breaks first. The truth is that's not going to happen. First off, I don't have the finances to pull that kind thing off. Secondly, I don't know if I'd have the sexual stamina to pull that off. And while the neanderthal part of my brain revels at the idea, I question if that's what I really want/desire.

So to start, I shall share with you what I hope to be my resolutions...

1) Tend to my mental health issues. As it is clear, I have problems and I have been living with them since university. I've never addressed them as "what is the point," and "that's the way I am." If it were not for my first session with Britney, I would never have seen "it doesn't have to be like this." Right now, I'm barely treading water and constantly brinking at sinking back into the dark (if that wasn't clear with some of last week's postings). This is the most important one, as with out it all the rest are meaningless...

2) Continue loosing weight. I am not a scale hound, besides the scales I have access to are to say the least unreliable. I go by the fit of my cloths. When I joined Terb, I wore size 44 jeans, though I could squeeze into 42s. The 44s are now loose, the 42s fit comfortably and have room to spare, and I'm now looking at 40s. I had to replace my 2 belts because I ran out of notches in them...I'm now looking at replacing the replacements!!

3) Pay off some debts/Get my spending under control. I have to quit spending money I don't have buying stuff I don't need to impress people I don't care about. Simple as that...

4) Decide my future in 'the hobby.' Do enjoy it? All three times, yes. Is it pleasurable? Certainly. Do I regret doing it? Definitely not! But is this what I want? And will I be content with it? That I don't know. Ultimately, I want more, and this isn't the place to find it. But before I pursue more, #1 needs to be dealt with. But in the mean time, do I wish for [b[this[/b] to be the substitute?

5) Derive a plan/budget to accommodate hobbying and modding my car. Of course see resolutions #3 and #4...

6) Be better to myself. Sure it seems contrary to resolution #3, but I need to learn to indulge myself. Did you know before last night and Sherlock Holmes, the last movie I went out to see was GI Joe? The last concert I went to was Gwar in 1990s. I do staycations, and work overly long hours. (And I'm now suffering stress related injuries thanks to it). That shit's gotta quit.

That's all I can think of so far.

What's your's?

New Years resolutions are generally made to be broken...

Having said this, you don't need a number on a calendar to make a decision to better yourself.

All you need is the realization and determination to do so. Whether it be quitting smoking, living a healthier lifestyle, paying down debt, or spending quality time with your loved ones, or whatever...

Just do it. That's all it takes.

Start today! :)

To get physically and mentally fit again, the last 6 months I've fallen off my exercise routine.

To get outside of myself more, try to consider other people and their perspectives.

Give more hugs.

I resolve to be even more awesome than before, save at least $20k, and start investing more aggressively.

I's also like to visit at least 2-3 new countries this year.

My New Years resolutions are the same as last years resolutions.
(1) Wake up on the green side of the grass. (At my age, that becomes sorta important)
(2) > (1 zillion). See (1)

:D

OK i'll bite.

1) improve my job situation.

2) loose 20 lbs.

3) make a significant decision to me that I have been putting off. Many options but each route has its own challenges.

4) work through some of my TDLs while still seeing some ladies of distinction.

5) expand my repertoire.
