Does Pierre Maguire still have an active stick.

Maybe we can use Chucker to get rid of Ron McLean. If The Round Mound of Rebound tells him to fan culo he cant hide behind Don Cherry.

Guaaarneteeeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sir Charles is more knowledgeable about Canada's game than I thought...

Chucker picked the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup. If they get eliminated in the first round his prognostication skills will be called into question. Shaq will ride him hard. The Oilers defense may be too timid to advance.

From what I was watching prior to the playoffs stating, many were taking the Kings over the Oilers. Chuck must not watch much hockey.

not always sure...
Last nights game between the Blues and the Jets passed an NHL record for most hits in one game at 131 total hits: 68 Winnipeg, 63 St. Louis.
131 hits in a game that’s only 60 minutes.
The last record was 120 hits set in 2019.

Neither team is going to survive this series easily.

Kudos to whoever hired Derek Lalonde, the Red Wings coach, as a guest analyst on the playoff panel. He has been insightful and entertaining.

Mikko Rantenan single handedly won this game for the Stars. 8 points his the past 2 games. 12 points in this series and 113 in his playoff career. This right here should tell Brad Treliving that keeping Marner is a big mistake and to let him walk into free agency.

Some interesting tidbits from last nights game:
--Rantanen becomes the first player in NHL history to score a hatrick in the 3rd period of a game 7.
--Dallas coach Peter Deboer's record in game 7's is now 9-0.
--Colorado's coach Jared Bednar's record in game 7's is now 0-4.

Most interesting.
As an Avalanche fan I was devastated that Rantanen came back to haunt us. Its too bad they couldn't have kept him, he's a top 10 talent in this league.

I'm not sure if you saw his interview after the game, but a very sincere tribute to his former teammates.

Anyone else watch the Jets-Blues game tonight? Holy shit, that was one of the most exciting games I've ever seen.

Jets win, three Canadian teams advancing.
Amazing comeback in regulation. Hellebuyck redeems himself after a shaky start.
Great to see the Jets move on.

Didn't hear an update on Morrissey's injury. Hopefully he and Scheifele are back for game 1 in round 2.

I was 1.6 seconds away from making the correct prediction of a St. Louis upset.
I don't know how Hellebuyck is going to win 12 more games against 3 good teams.
I suppose he'll have to win all the home games.
Dallas may get Robertson and Heiskanen back.
Vegas has won the cup and Edmonton lost in game 7 Finals by 1 goal.

Just a couple of points, 1. Winnipeg did prove themselves as the best NHL team in the regular season by a decent margin and 2. St Louis played extremely well at the end of the season.
It's not like this series was one good team playing a crap team; it was a tough series.

Regular season is not the playoffs. Ever heard of the Leafs? Favourites in 7 of their last 9 PLAYOFF series based solely on how they did in the regular season.
No kidding St Louis is not a crap team. Why do you think I picked them to beat Hellebuyck.
You forgot about we want Florida? A team that didn't prove themselves in the regular season but made the Finals. Or Montreal the 18th seed that made the Finals. They certainly did not prove anything in the regular season. Boston 2023 broke the regular season point total record then gets bounced in round 1. They don't hand out Stanley Cups for great regular seasons.

All I'm saying is that if I think you're severely underestimating the Winnipeg Jets. They won their first round in seven games, yes, but they were also hampered with injuries of key players in that series -- and they still won. Two players were still on the injury list last night -- Mark Scheifele and Josh Morrisey. Scheifele has now recovered and will play Wednesday and Josh Morrisey is listed as day-to-day, so they should be firing on all cylinders by Wednesday when Round 2 starts for them.
