They are protesting the US forming and funding the largest police force in the nation, who's members have, on a regular basis, been dening 1st, 4th amendment rights even to citizens. Taking children and zip tying them, held a 5 year old autistic girl hosage to try to force a father out, and the regular police coming in to return the child.
They have peppersprayed a frog, pepper ball shot a priest, assaulted various family members, defied lawful orders from judges, had to be told not to run over orotesters by Portland Police, tear gassed Chicago police.

That's the short list. I suppose you can add on National Guard use.

Seriously, don't dismiss this. It's very real, growing, and once the economic climate really drops there is very real danger of escalation.
That is an interesting post.

Indeed, when the economic climate shit really hits the fan, it will be ugly.

Trump was able to get elected out of the pure racism of so many of his base (the farmers...). But those same people are about to get hit the hardest. The farmer are already in deep shit with China cancelling all of their soybean imports.

Racism has a cost.

How many of you are excited to visit Washington DC when The Arch of Pedo is completed?

It just depends on what people are protesting. Progressive members like to go and on about universal Canadian healthcare. Do you think people were protesting healthcare at yesterday's rally? Probably a few, but most likely significantly outnumbered by other fractional protests.

Canadian society has always been tranquil. I'm not as well-versed in Canadian history. I do know you didn't have a revolution and you were generally fine with the monarchy for several decades after our revolution. That is not a criticism. That's just a comment on the gradualist nature of Canadian politics.
I'm asking you this only because you are an American and I assume , well actually I know you are also a Trump voter.

What do you think of your POTUS tweeting posts like this? Would you have excused Biden if he did this to Republicans in red states?

I have heard estimates of 7 million people participating. That is certainly a big number even if we allow room for some fudging of the estimate. However, that's still only about 4.4% of the total voters in last year's election.
And still one of the largest single-day protests ever in US history.
Like I said, it does not (and never has) translated directly to voting behavior.
Thinking of rallies that way is always a bad idea.

True, but trump's reaction should be a 'let them eat cake' moment.
To respond to the No Kings movement with an AI video of him as king shitting on the people is pretty wacko.

NBC’s Sue O’Connell: Boston ‘No Kings’ Rally Mostly Older White Hair Folks

Saturday on NBC 10 Boston reporter Sue O’Connell said the crowd at the “No Kings” rally in downtown Boston was older, “white hair” folks.

O’Connell said, “So from what we can see from our viewpoint here in the studio and talking to our crew on the ground and some people I know who are there, this is an older crowd. There’s not a lot of folks, and granted, it’s a big crowd here, I’m not good at estimating, but it’s definitely over 2000, maybe close to 3000. We can’t see everyone, but it’s an older crowd, a lot of white hair you see out there, Q-tips, as we used to call them in the business. They are out protesting, and not a lot of young people. And also, again, portraying this I hate America idea that this is what this protest is about, showing people who are Boomers and middle-aged out taking time from their day on a Saturday to come and protest and be heard at the nation’s oldest public park, Boston Common, in the home of democracy and the revolution in Boston.”

She added, “It’s growing and I think part of it is because a lot of people are coming from outside the city and arriving well after noon, when the kickoff was, and also all across the state and the nation. So what we’re seeing is a lot, this is an older crowd and definitely peaceful and dressed up.”

But she was up against an elitist pedo from the deep state, guilty of fraud and a convicted felon.
The guy only has 37% approval now.
Yep, people knew all that….and still found him preferable to Harris. That ought to tell you something.
