C4 for preworkout!

Fish oil and a digestive enzyme during meals. I don’t like cooking the fish oil in my food though, I just take a measured shot of it halfway through eating. Liquid though, not pill form.

Good old whey, but only if I’m not eating solid food within the hour after I work out.

Program wise? Insanity, 4 times. P90X is okay too, aside from the amount of stuff you need to complete the workout. I prefer using my body versus machines or gadgets. That or dance class. Sometimes a ballet or contemporary class kicks my ass in conditioning way more than the gym.

Very very impressive Chloe.

Currently I am in the gym every day
2 days legs
2 days cardio - battle rope
3 days upper body

Workouts between 30 mins to an hour.

Current goal is to shred up before the summer.

I'm currently doing an 8x8 routine with weight training.

I pick a weight that isn't too heavy, 8 reps and rest 12-15sec, repeat for 8 sets. I'm exhausted and pumped in just a few min.

I notice Purple K creatine is effective for stamina.

In a place far, far away
And here I thought this was a thread about our fine SPs working out and how hot they look in tights.

When I was working out and trying to get in shape.....

Progressive men's multi vitamins with progressive liquid fish oil. Creatine became useful when the weights got heavy.

I was running the Johnny Candito 6 week program designed to increase strength most of all. It's a 6 week peaking program where you build up to a 1RM attempt at the end.

A few cycles got my bench to 250, squat was in the 300s and deadlift in the 400s, after about 6months of lifting. Lost a bunch of inches, 40lbs, and barely changed my diet except to make sure I got around 150grams of protein a day.

Once the strength base was built I started doing more bodybuilding type stuff before I lost motivation....typical I know.

Super slow may not be for pros but for the average Joe half hour per week is all you need

Can this be true? Half hour per week!!! Is this what the pros do??? The answer is no so I conclude super slow may be OK for beginners but as it is so boring you will not last and the science argues against it

Just my 2 cents

Fuck supplements, bunch of snake oil shit. Eat proper foods, the end.
You need the protein shakes though. Can't be eating 20 chicken breasts a day.

Other than that I take two creatine HCL pills and a single multivitamin pill a day.

Your body can only absorb so much protein before your kidney starts getting fucked around with. Just like "milk" from a cow, worst thing ever.
The dietary standards are heavily lobbied to both Canadian and US government and in turn they tell us what to eat and how much we need, it's all bullshit.
It all depends on if you decided to take the red pill or the blue pill (from the Matrix).

Be careful you don't over train and start to lose muscle. It's pretty common with training 7 days a week and no off days to recover.

I stay away from creatine. All it did for me was make me feel bloated. I stick with whey protein and glutamine.

That's not true according to established research: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10722779

The protein intake rules of thumb (1g per lb body weight per day for bodybuilding, 1.2-1.5g per lb when “cutting”) come from bodybuilding circles, not some food pyramid. https://www.muscleforlife.com/how-much-protein-build-muscle/ I'm about 180 lb. To take in 180 g of protein through "natural" foods would be impractical, 3x 10oz steaks per day.

Hmm how do I become a professor of meat science? :biggrin-new:

I wonder how much lobby money is given by the animal agriculture industries to the federal government which funds US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health. I mean, they claim milk should be consumed daily meanwhile it's actually bad for human health, so go figure.
Last I checked, humans were humans, not cows, so breast feeding from cows for calcium requirements determined by an industry that lobbies the government??

No thanks.

I highly suggest watching What the Health on Netflix if you're subscribed, my gf and I watched it last year when it came out and absolutely mind blowing.
In particular 9:45 and onward in the video
