I heard the new BB10 has new vibrating technology that will really get your attention.I never left
I still have two Blackberry phones and when they BB10 with KEYBOARD is released I will probably get one. tools not toys.
I also would like to hear comments/reviews.Soooooo... Has anyone got a BB 10? If so, what was your last phone or what did you switch from?
And if you have on, what do you like/don't like about it?
The problem is that their app market is littered with junk apps at premium prices. Yes you can research which ones are good but in the apple and android markets your can trust that the top rated apps are good.i hear they have ONLY 70,000 apps. How many do I need?![]()

I did my own checks yesterday, I was not impressed with the traffic and the phone did not seem special at all. In terms of the sell out story at least in Canada, each store was allocated 5-7 z10s..... thus the bar is definately not high.BTW: 'Tools not Toys' is the moronic tunnel vision design strategy that got BB in trouble in the first place. BB 10 is trying to catch up on professional capabilities long available on other handsets. The variety of APPS available (~ 700,000+ on both Apple & Android platforms) is not intended to be mounted in one handset (Duh), it gives users (professional & recreational alike) an unprecedented flexibility to design your handset to meet your job/personal requirements. These include mechanical/electrical engineering formulas, professional travel, sales aids, etc, etc, etc .. not available on the Blackberry platform. So think twice before waving a banner that reinforces how restrictive the technology is. :thumb:
..okay......... this is the first crack showing up between Heins statements and the reality of this new release......
One store in Leeds and one in Manchester said they had handsets available for immediate purchase and collection, with one saying they had “loads left”.
Stores in London contacted by the Daily Telegraph said they had “plenty left”.
My Heins made the comments in an interview with the Associated Press in the US, where the phones are due to be released in mid-March.
The comments will lead to accusations that Mr Heins is trying to talk up sales of the handsets.

I know there's 10 times the number of apps available for both Apple & Android platforms. However for the most part, the only apps I see people using on those devices are of the silly toy variety. The variety of APPS available (~ 700,000+ on both Apple & Android platforms) is not intended to be mounted in one handset (Duh), it gives users (professional & recreational alike) an unprecedented flexibility to design your handset to meet your job/personal requirements. The number of apps is less important than the number of high quality apps. The obscure ones benefit from a large use base since not everybody needs a bullet drop calculator or fitness tracker or second language practice app but for those who do it is very useful, and the more users there are supporting it the better quality it will be.I know there's 10 times the number of apps available for both Apple & Android platforms. its intentional ... apple will do anything to make you buy a new phone or upgrade or buy their protection plan.. like they witch around their charging cables that you can't use your old phone charger etc anymoreHalf the people I know with Iphones have broken screens. Dunno what it is, but their screens are quite frail.
The number of apps is a direct indication of the number of quality apps and the number of software houses willing to write software for BB. There was a survey done recently of major app writing software houses and many were not planning to release BB versions until they were confident the product would survive. The number of apps is less important than the number of high quality apps.
