As a provider whom actually loves her profession and has credibility I prefer the payment first... It makes me feel bit more comfortable that I don't feel like i'm going to get scammed and I perform better when I'm more comfortable! I've had a regular whom would always put the envelope with the payment on my dresser and I checked at the end of my session once and it was empty!
I know there can be a distrust between provider & client from both sides but feel the situation out, try and read them and use your gut![]()
This works for me.For this very reason I put the funds on the table within the first 30 seconds and fan out the bills for easy view. Many SPs do not touch the funds until the service is over and I don't want them to be second guessing how much is actually there. If there are a lot of small bills (my lunch money...lol) I actually insist that the SP count before we begin.
No offense but, it is literally a transaction/purchase of services so if you're uncomfortable treating it as such maybe you should try tinder...For me, if they need the money upfront, it feels like a transaction or the typical scammer depending upon who I am seeing (reputable or TOFFT).
when you have a plumber come do some work for you or and electrician do you pay them up front??No offense but, it is literally a transaction/purchase of services so if you're uncomfortable treating it as such maybe you should try tinder...
A plumber or electrician is not giving you access to their body and they have legal mechanisms by which they can go after you if you scam them. When you go see a therapist (which is the industry I'd compare SW most to) you do pay up frontwhen you have a plumber come do some work for you or and electrician do you pay them up front??
But you miss the entire point that all of the best that I have seen do not ask for money upfront. Only those that insist on it, insist that there is something wrong with us because we do not expect it or do it.No offense but, it is literally a transaction/purchase of services so if you're uncomfortable treating it as such maybe you should try tinder...
