I just signed the petition "The Honourable Peter MacKay: Say NO to the NORDIC MODEL and YES to DECRIMINALIZATION of sex work in Canada" on Change.org.

It's important. Will you sign it too? Here's the link:

Perhaps there is a lawyer somewhere here who can answer this. Is n't the "Nordic Model" which criminalizes the buyer of sex (over 90 % male) but not the seller of sex ( 90% female) sexist and against the Canadian Constitution because it discriminates essentially by gender. Therefore equality before the law and the equal protection clauses are violated on this basis.

495 have signed so far!

Do you think SP`s could sign it using their SP name and work email?

I thought about doing that, but ended up signing with my real name because I`m proud of who I am and what I do.

Since buyef and seller can be of either gender, no it does not violate any gender's rights. The ratio (which btw you clearly made up, is irrelavant.

On the other hand it could be challenged like the previous ones over endangering worker safely, which btw it does.

It could also possibly be challenged over freedom of associotion or freedom of speech, but the right to a safe work enviroment is the more likely bet as it has presidence already.

And yes I already signed that petititon.
