People end up dating their opposite-gender clones, regardless of abstract criteria.

What I find ironic is the commercials make it sound like there's so much psyche matching going on, but then they show you Stepford couples.

And there seems to be one questionable goal: finding you someone who is exactly like you. Does that really work? Many relationships that last, the couple had nothing in common. If someone is the same as you, wouldn't you eventually get bored with that, and not develop in anyway? Maybe, maybe not.

It would be interesting if someone were to do a long-term study of these services, and find out how much of the relationships actually lasted, how many ended.

I know a few people who tried to set up a profile but because they listed their religion as "agnostic" they were turned down. What, people who don't believe in God are that few and far between?

Why are you mad a E harmony? It's more a comment on you, if it's true or if we're getting all the details. I've a few of friends who've tried it. One scored bit time as in the commercial another found a new friend but not a lover and that's ok. Most had a neutral results, but were happy they tried. Not one expressed, even cryptically, that they were outright rejected like you.

As far as Mirage, Vixens, and Cupids, it keeps it simple, but what are the girls saying when you not in the room? You're a business transaction and not much else. Ka' Ching!

Haven't tried it recently, but eHarmony always says it is unable to match me. I created something like 5 different profiles, to see if it was something obvious.

They then send me 8 new matches every day, regardless. They even included two people that I met outside of eHarmony.

I've never understood the whole eharmony thing. I don't get having to pay for their services when you could simply go out into the world and find someone.

Then again, what do I know? I have no luck dating.
