Ok either you're totally fucking with us or you're mental. Paris was the only one you somewhat got right. Ace...ok? Bucky...good? Chris bad? Kat boring? Elliot killed? Ok no more from you.
elliot isn't as popular as you think. he has a chance to be out any show. i hate ace as much as the next heterosexual but i his fan base of teenaged girls is big. george michael wasn't huge for no reason. kat was boring. we're doing queen here.... queen... one of the greatest rock bands of all time and she stuck to a very conservative barbara streisand / celine dion style ballad. when i said chris is bad, i meant for him. i think the dude is amazing. bucky has that raspy tone that sounded queen-ish to me. maybe i just like the song fat bottomed girls.... lol.

Next week the gang will be doing Alexisonfire songs. Should be a doozy.
i'd prefer to hear arcade fire but alexisonfire is better than barry manilow any day.

IMHO these were the worst...

1. Ace- I can't see what's keeping this guy on the show, lame, lame, lame.

2. Chris- Another guy that just doesn't have it.

3. Bucky- Not versatile to different types of music, he can only sing country.

Okay, I'll say it... would Bucky have sung "Fat Bottom Girls" if Mandisa was still there?

Ace - If you could hear a helium balloon floating around, it would sound like his performance.

Kellie - Kudos for such a radical departure and making it work. She looked like she shed her clueless small-town girl persona until she said, "On paper?"

Katharine - I'm in the "boring" camp on this one.

Chris - Totally agree with Simon; he could have had a killer (Queen) moment.

Taylor - Looked and sounded like a bad Elvis impersonation.

I like Queen, so I liked tonight's show. Usually I am one of the first on here after a show, but I see already two pages of banter, so I feel a little late to the action.

Bucky - I thought he was a'ight with 'Fat Bottomed Girls', although I was a little surprised he chose it, or that anyone chose it actually. But he didn't say "Get on your bikes and ride" at the end, which bummed me out a little.

Ace - The guy should have done 'We Are the Champions' or 'You're My Best Friend'. I thought he started out okay, but he just can't rock, which became painfully apparent as the song went on. I don't see how he's not gone this week.

Kellie - Simon was right, she looked a little creepy there at the beginning. Kind of a weird cross between Lita Ford and Daryl Hannah from Bladerunner. A brave choice, but the sweet ol' country girl worked it out. I knew Paula, that dingbat, would bring up the fact that Constantine attempted this song last year. Kellie's version was far superior.

Chris - I'm a Queen fan, but I did not know 'Innuendo'. I thought he sang it fine, although I was a little disappointed he didn't choose a better known song.

Katharine - For what it was, which was an overblown Broadway stylized performance, I thought Katharine sang 'Who Wants to Live Forever' pretty well. However, I would have liked to have seen her try something a little uptempo for once. I think she is getting too narrow in her style. In the little warm-up vignette before her performance, they showed her shaking her moneymaker during rehearsals. We need to see more of that.

Elliott - 'Somebody to Love' is a tough song to sing, and I thought he did a nice job with it. He's still boring though.

Taylor - If I recall, Will Makar sang 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' the night he got voted out in the preliminaries. Taylor did a much better job with it, needless to say. I was glad to see the energy back, but it's amazing how annoying it gets after a short time.

Paris - You know, I didn't buy her as sultry when she sang 'Fever' during '50's week, and I didn't buy her as bootylicious when she sang 'Check It Out' during 00's week. But for some reason, I totally bought her as a tough rock grrrl this week. I liked the Tina Turner hair too.

It seems most everyone is against Ace, so who am I to disagree?

i loved kellie tonight. i would buy her version of bohemian rhapsody in a second!!! reminded me of the evanescence concert.

katherine bored me but she was good.

i thought chris was bad tonigth but it doesn't matter.

taylor taylor taylor... i agree with simon thinking he was drunk.

bucky was good.

ace was ok but got hammered by the judges.

elliot. i must have been listening to another cd at the time cause i thought he killed somebody to love and the judges loved it.

paris - i turned it off. despise her.
Kellie rocked tonight. I got that chill from her singing.
I was hoping Katherine would have picked another song.
Chris had poor song choice. Reminds me of Marty from Rock Star INXS.
Taylor was Taylor, and entertaining as usual.
I thought Bucky picked a good song to fit his country stylings
Elliot sucked.
Paris, I mean Gary Coleman was back with extensions, and even though I don't like her, I wasn't turned off by her song choice. BIG song, little girl

WILL SOMEBODY KICK OUT BUCKY!!! He doesn't belong anymore.

Next week Ace should be gone... then it get interesting.

THANK YOU, FINALLY

They should have just kicked off Ace also and skipped next week's show. In two weeks the real competition will begin with the final six, IMO.

Yea well u blew it with Chris as he will be in final 3, possibly final 2. And I would hope everyone in the universe knew Ace and Bucky would be in the final 3.

You knew Bucky's days were numbered, but I thought he'd outlast Ace at least. Ace is kind of the like a combination of Federov and the fat fuck from last season. He's gay like Federov, but still manages to scrape by every week just like the fat boy did. It doesn't matter, his days are numbered too.

Good grief, Rod Stewart next week?

What seems to be the problem? I happen to love Rod Stewart!

I like Rod Stewart too, if we're talking about circa 1972 rocker Rod Stewart. Even his late 70's stuff isn't bad. If I thought they be singing 'Maggie May' or 'You Wear It Well' or even 'Ain't Love a Bitch', I'd be fine with it. But I don't want another week of standards, I feel we already saw that with 50's week.

A karaoke show where they sing songs from Rod's later karaoke period is weird.
They aren't *his* songs, even if he does them well.

this week

So who will be voted off this week?

After watching the first 4 performances, Elliott, It has to be you. Say goodbye tomorrow to Elliott. I don't even have to see the remaining 3. Not that Elliott was horrible, he just wasn't spectacular and doesn't have a large fan base.

I'm afraid you could be right, although I think Kelly Pickler will be right there with him in the bottom 2 but she'll probably make it through due to the male vote, man is she hot. :)
