You were just destroyed by bvr filling out your argument to show how much cheaper transit is and now you're trying to argue you can't include all auto costs when you calculate auto costs?

You did prove the existence of skoobitity.
Ummmm not quite despite your knack for failing miserably at following an argument or logic for that matter.
You forgot to factor in time and the fact that someone is bound to a train schedule. Time is money. Convenience is money.
Go Train can't get you to the specific location. It gets you to a general location bound to where the stations are located. How about additional fares?
What if you need to go to several places in a particular time span? More fares. More time.
What if you need to take extra passengers? Go Train doesn't have a 5-for-1 fare do they?

When you factor all of that in transit isn't always cheaper considering the constraints.

Hold on, we are now discussing about the Go Train costs. Did you forget that? You claimed that:

Hence, the need of a proper Public Transport Infrastructure like they have in Amsterdam and London, as a sizeable number of Toronto residents do not either own cars or can afford the costs of that daily commute by cars especially when using the 407ETR!!
Here's the same response I gave your buddy FF:

I have a question about the Dental Plan. If elected as PM what will Pierre Poilievre's Conservative Party do with it?
if the Dental Plan going to costs hundreds of millions of taxpayers dollars to administer and less than 1% of the dentists are eager to participate, then he should scrap it

And according to the Nova Scotia Dental Association, a non-profit that represents more than 500 dentists in the province, nearly all of them have yet to do so. The association's president, Dr. Juli Waterbury, said Tuesday that only four dentists in the province had signed up.
obviously the dentists do not like the plan
a dental office will likely need to hire incremental staff to deal with the paperwork required by govt, without any incremental appointments/ revenue
can you say money pit?

You know what's way cheaper?
Living downtown and walking, biking or TTC.

Then don't whine about how expensive and long your commute is.
That was your choice.
They just whine that they are mortgage/rent broke and can't afford groceries while stepping on needles in parks.

You really are trying to twist and turn the real facts. I stated several times that in a City like Amsterdam or London, the intensive network of Underground. / Subway trains are well interconnected. You do not require a car. When you purchase a ticket to a particular destination, it means that you can interconnect very easily between various different subway lines without incurring addition costs!!

Normally if you use the Go Train from let's say Oshawa, and get to Union Station, then you are in the midst of downtown. Walking to your destination is no issue. However. when you drive downtown, and then want to park, it costs an arm and a leg to do so these days, especially during peak periods. Getting on the Go Train takes away the headache of traffic congestion once you enter downtown. Far easier to drop off your car at a Go Train Station where parking is free and then getting a ride on the Go Train. Obviously, you have not used The Go Train!!

Off the top of my head.
1. Tougher on crime and harder sentences.
2. Shrinking the size of government to lower the budget.
3. Aggressively target inflation.
4. Axing the Carbon tax. Invest in green technology.
5. Working with all levels of government to build homes.
6. Probably will lower immigration back to controllable levels.
Small correction to #6. He said he would tie immigration to available housing.

There's also a hotline for sexual assault and rapists, skoob.
Think we should warn the city that someone who backs rapists might come to town too?
Ah yes, the pivot once I answered your question and proved you wrong again.

You think Union station is the epicenter of the city? That's way south. You think anyone can just walk km's after getting to union? No. They would then need to take the TTC.

I'm not disputing that some European countries have better transit systems. In fact that's my whole point. Toronto is a different city, more spread out and transit is terrible. That's why driving is still attractive, more convenient, and offers someone the means to go many places during the same commute in a reasonable time.
