Every time municipalities reduce lanes it's one sign they believe there are less cars today.
Constantly building new roads? You mean like protesting building new highways?

Building bike lanes that are not used year-round due to Canada's climate is a bad decision.
Listen, the building of bike lanes in downtown Toronto is not unique. They are also doing so in rural areas and designed to make them safe for the cyclists.
By the way, I am a cyclist and try to use it at least twice a week. I pay my property taxes and so why should I be deprived of such privileges which is a healthy option in general?
Only when it snows, then I avoid using a bike, otherwise it's no problem using it in the winter!!
If you travel to nations like The Netherlands it makes Canada's bike lanes pale into comparison!!

PP is JT part 2.

When will Canadians wake up and realize how much we are being scammed.

Crazy gas prices
Crazy food prices.
Crazy home prices
Taxation increasing by the day.
Highest cell phone rates in the world

I love this country but I hate what it has become.
Gas, food and home prices are an issue globally. Canada does not have the highest prices in that respect.
But the one that is really eye boggling is just not the internet rates, but by a mile the highest toll rates in the world........ 407ETR. Biggest scam!!
Thanks to the Mike Harris Conservative Govt!!

Only when it snows? In Canada? Haha that's funny.
You think Amsterdam gets more snow than Toronto?
Land area: Toronto is twice as large as Amsterdam.
How about people who can't ride bikes and rely on cars? Why discriminate and negatively impact them?

Who stated that Netherlands gets more snow than Canada? But they can at times get a significant amount of snow in their winters.
Does Toronto get the same amounts of snow as Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Montreal or the East Coast? We are talking about Toronto itself where our snowfall amounts are no where as high as those other cities. Amsterdam gets less snow than us, but in their winter months the rain along with the windy conditions are much higher than in Toronto. Not easy to ride a bike in Amsterdam under those conditions!!

But you are hilarious when you consider bike lanes to be "discriminatory"............ROTFLMAO!!

50% of Toronto don't own cars.
Typically we only have one month total of snow on the roads and you could bike through that if you wanted.

More cars than cyclists. It's obvious what is more important. Roads or bike lanes.

Skoob will claim that Oulu is a very "discriminatory" city, for spending that much for very safe bike lanes including the expensive ploughing of the snow on these lanes. ROTFLMAO!!

Exactly. Amsterdam doesn't get nearly as much snow as Toronto which means people can use the bike lanes more there. So comparing the two places is not a fair comparison. That was the point you clearly missed.

Yeah that single person riding their bike in the winter is accurate.
Do you think all the traffic congestion caused by bike lanes that creates a ton of pollution by idling cars is worth it?
Sounds like you do.

Traffic congestion is caused by cars and trucks, not bikes.
Bikes take up way less space.

50% of Toronto doesn't own a car.
Why punish them to support your suburban life?

Taking away lanes used by vehicles causes traffic congestion...you know why? Because vehicles like cars and trucks actually exist.
It's not only Torontonians that drive in Toronto despite what your brainwashed mind is telling you.

Ever wonder how your goods like food arrive to Toronto?
Here's a hint: not by bicycle.

Wait! I thought you lefties were comparing DoFo to Trump? Was that only leading up to his election wins?
Now you're saying Poilievre is like Trump?

hmmmm....I get it...any politician you don't like is somehow compared to Trump.

You need new tactics...this one doesn't work. Just sayin'

You mean because someone doesn't live downtown, they never travel there for work, entertainment, visiting friends, etc?
That's your argument?
OMFG

Clearly you don't or you'd understand what's causing congestion, and its not bikes.
Your ignorance is on clear view.

It also causes more pollution with cars and truck idling more in traffic than a smooth drive. One other note that emergency vehicles are already being delayed to get to their destination and the bike lanes only make the wait times longer.

Amsterdam also has more density than Toronto and a way better public transportation system.
