I usually dont post private messages but this one was so lame I had to
(although I'll withhold the person's name)
Torturing a cat

So that's ur idea of fun, is it Esco, showing us a pic of someone torturing and probably drowning a cat. Only a sick, despicable asshole would post a pic like that.
That PM was in relation to this sig I have:

Any normal reasonable person can see that the cat is about to get a bath, and is not too happy about it.
Except for the smartypants that sent me that PM, he didnt quite clue in.

Just for any other would be animal rights crusaders, this cat is not being tortured, I'm not into animal torture and I denounce any people that are into animal torture.

Hope that clears things up

They usually regard it as a form of torture. Even some dogs do:p

So does the people who have to give a cat a bath.

Except the old Steve Martin routine, where he says “I gave my cat a bath the other day. . .they love it. He sat there, he enjoyed it, if was fun for me. The fur would stick to my tongue, but other than that. . .”

Thanks.

Who would think that was an image of a cat being tortured?

I knew it was a reluctant cat being bathed.

Cats don't need baths, they clean themselves. I would never bathe my cat or pay for it to get groomed.

Not ever?...That might be OK if the cats are outside alot and get caught in the rain sometimes--before they run for cover.

If its a house cat and you want your house smelling fresh without leaving a window open, a bath for the cat every so often--I used to bath my dog 1 or 2 times a year...i would guess a cat could go 1 to 2 years.

No animals don't need baths but its to keep everything smelling clean inside. In the wild, the rain washes them.

if you have a cat that goes out alot ..they sometimes get under cars and get motor oil/grease on them...so i rather wash them...not often does it happen..but that is how it goes.

The guy sent me a 2nd PM:
From the pic you show this could easily be interpretted as animal abuse as others besides myself have verified to me. Don't try to wiggle out of it. If I'm not mistaken you've shown other pics in the past of a negative nature towards animals.
No I'm not kidding and you'll hear from me again if this kind of activity continues.
Oh dear, I'm gonna hear from him again.
Should I be worried???!!!

I thought cats HATED water. I don't even know if they can swim.

Some pet owners don't bath their cats but do brush them.

I would research it myself before doing it.

I wouldn't own a cat, but I know that one can get quite fond of them.
they aren't fond of it but in the case of fleas i'm sure 20 mins of bath time is better than a house full of fleas and raw skin from scratching all the time
