For the first time since the biopsy procedure, I thought I'd whack off. I'd been hesitant, fearing that there might be some associated pain. I knew to expect some blood in the semen and that would be no big whoop. Over the past couple days, there had some blood in my urine and that didn't put me off pissing.

It went okay. No pain but all the ejaculate was a rich, dark, blood red colour! Egad!! I wasn't expecting that. A nice Christmas colour but the season is past. Good thing I didn't decide to try it out with an SP!!!

This morning I found out the results of my prostate biopsy. Yeah, there's cancer, quite a bit of it, and so the prostate has to go. Shit, shit, shit!! But what can one do except grin and bear it? Well, maybe not grin...

The good folks at Princess Margaret are quite thorough. They give you all kinds of materials on the operation (not yet scheduled) and its potential outcomes. Almost none of it made for happy reading. Catheters, pads for incontinence, blood in the urine, and possible erectile problems are just some of the cheery topics covered. However, it could be worse. At least they don't have to cut off my johnson!

I just looked over the various materials and it didn't say which of three different methods my doctor would be utilizing. Egad. I just want to go to bed, fall asleep, wake up, and find it's all been a bad dream. That doesn't work though.

look at your options. Lapro is less invasive therefore less collateral damage.

Check out the Cleveland Clinic website ccf.org and they talk about their methods. I know it is the US but some bigger TO hospitals do it as well.

Its day surgery if done lapro and not super expensive. ( everything is relative I realise)

I remember what it was like when I got the cancer results. The shock will pass then you get into deal with it mode.

The key is to ask questions every step of the way.

My Doc gives me the greatest combo of drugs I have ever had. I am flying for the rest of the day.
