I'd suggest a protein shake with 1/2 the protein and the other part frozen fruit, and a bannana. Fresh fruit is actually what is recommended as the first thing you should eat in the morning, the simple sugars should help you get going.

It's been shown that apples wake you up more effectively than caffeine.

However, I don't think it's healthy to get by on little sleep. Try to make time for it, rather than use food to keep you awake.

Fruit juices and to really wake up, wash your hair. I seem to take forever to wake up until I wash my hair, then after a quick blow dry, I am good to go. :)

1) Water
2) Cold Shower
3) set your clock 45 minutes fast. The jolt of adrenaline when you realize your late wakes some people up.
4) eat a good breakfast.

Fruit juices are bad from a blood sugar point of view. It causes a spike in blood sugar which gives you an energy boost, but you end up getting a blood sugar crash a couple hours later and then you end up feel tired again. Best to avoid.

Cheers

Hmm, well I feel they are too strong and add water to them. Berries are good too, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc. Granola bars help fill you up and you can eat them while driving. Same with the water-juice if its in a bottle you can cap.

A "real breakfast" you cook on a stove is best but takes too long and makes a mess. Guess you could hit the Mc D's drive thru, lol.

Hot water with about 1/3 or 1/2 lemon squeezed into it. It's bitter, and it works. You could use honey or maple syrup to tone town the tartness.

Put soy or rice milk in blender with frozen fruit a banana and Greens +
This is a good suggestion. I prefer the rice milk as it has a more agreeable flavour. I add a tablespoon or two of hemp or other such oil for omega 3 content. And some good quality protein powder mixed in.

If you are looking for more of a hot beverage and less of a meal, then any herbal tea will do. There are dozens on the market that have a variety of health benefits.
