For the meat (charcuterie) lover, The Hoof on Dundas. Reasonable price, amazing food, casual ambiance. Brilliant and delicious cocktails.
Woodlot on Palmerston at College. Small but inventive menus (2 menus - one meat, one vegetarian). Reasonable price, food is good, ambiance is nice as well, somewhat casual. Reasonable wine line.
Rodney's on King for oysters and drinks. The rest of the menu is just OK. Nothing amazing, a bit overpriced, but decent food. Good wine selection.
Lee Restaurant on King. Great decor, great atmosphere, and the food is fucking amazing. A modern fusion of chinese and french cuisine. The spicy crisp tofu is one of the best thing I've ever put in my mouth, although I don't normally care for tofu.
For great fish and seafood (mediterannean italian/greek style), Malena in Yorkville on Avenue.
Foxley Bistro on Ossington for Asian tapas. Can be a hit and miss, but more often a hit than a miss in my experience.
