From another forum someone is in London UK and said he absolutely drooled over this phone - I believe he said he was an iPhone 4 user, but was very seriously considering leaving the iPhone for it.
I doubt it, but someone said he would, time will tell.
all the tech sites are drooling over this phone.

Fuck me that is sick. I don't NEED it, but I REALLLLY want it. lol

I'm curious to see the iPhone 5 in comparison to this now.

That 1st person shooter must be so draining on the battery. I installed Angry Birds the other day and got caught up with a little competition with a buddy of mine for a bit and next thing you know, battery gonzo.
The price you pay for a big ass screen (brightest setting too, had to).
It's why I don't play those big 1st person shooters or any other overly graphic intense game, it's a phone first, email/browser second, everything else is bonus.

Brain teaser games are way less taxing on the battery.

But this S2 is SSSSICK. Can't wait to try one in person.

First off, Gorilla glass is highly-scratch resistant. It's not scratch-proof. Do a Google search.

Second, Super Amoled is still affected by glare but not to a great extent.

http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/April2011/14/c4029.html

Third, Apple not supporting their old OS versions? How far back do you expect them to keep supporting something? And, of course, when you jailbreak you risk issues.

Talk about ignorant statements.
It aint about support dopey. Its about not being able to downgrade firmware after the updates slow down your phone. And no. No glare with a samsung galaxy s amoled screen. Even with the screen set to automatic brightness. You got one? OR JUST TALKING OUT YOUR ARSE?

Support? No 3 firmwares are supported at all anymore. Sucks to have a 3g and want to get rid of 4.anything.
Now look for " gorilla glass+ galaxy s" on youtube. Then tell me how easy it is to scratch.

You must be a fanboy.

Wow, no wonder you're able to make such ignorant statements. You don't bother reading.

As I already stated, got both the iPhone 4 and Galaxy S here. Yes, Gorilla glass can be scratched. And, yes, Super Amoled can still be affected by glare as stated by Samsung themselves.

Read what? your lies? yay. Take your sammy outside. Turn the screen half way up and take a look. Still say it has issues with glare, your full of shite. and no samsung doesnt say it has issues with glare. There is none. Hell there is even a setting in the video player to turm it up even brighter for outside viewing.
I have a tab as well. No amoled just s lcd. That cant be seen outside. But not the galaxy s. I say you are just full of shit.

And let me guess. You never even searched youtube for the video. Watch it and then tell me how "easy" it is to scratch.

And I say that you're ignorant. Here is what Samsung says:

"With the Super AMOLED screen, users experience 75% less glare"

Why don't you go back to Samsung and rag on them?

And did you even do a Google search as I suggested? No?

In order to expose the lies perpetrated by bamma, I did a search on Youtube under "Galaxy S Scratch" and came across a video by Zagg entitled "Gorilla Glass Scratch Test" where they slid a phone with Gorilla Glass for about 2 feet on the ground. Guess what? Yeah, scratched the Gorilla Glass.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EimSyAIuDoI&feature=relmfu
I wonder why the guy holds it upright to the camera before the test and not steady and up close like he does after the test?
The other thing, is, if he's going to show that Gorilla glass works, his product and company are toast.
So slight bias of course. :)

Zagg has a pretty good gig going selling their protective products but so does Corning when it comes to selling their glass. You can suspect either company of "gaming" the results in order to protect their interests.

The only way to really know is bring out your Gorilla glass product and do the same test. BUT, as I suggested to babybamma, do a search on Google about Gorilla glass and scratches.

Of course gorilla glass is not impervious to scratches, BUT, it's the DEGREE of scratching.
Keys, change, pens, whatever else in your pocket it, chances are no scratches.
Toss along concrete, some scratching no doubt.

Forget ZAGG, for HALF hte price, go with Best Skins Ever, everyone I know has used them for years, amazing customer service, quick, and did I mention half the price?
Does the same job as ZAGG and bodyguardz.

Example, iphone4 screen $15 for ZAGG
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/apple-iphone-4-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php

Best Skins Ever $7

Wait a bit for the galaxy 2 version with the Nvidia Tegra chipset.
http://www.inspiredgeek.com/2011/03...4210-vs-tegra-2-which-version-will-be-better/

I'll be waiting a long while before i get it.
I just flashed a TeamWhiskey Bionix 1.3 ROM on my Galaxy yesterday (first time, nervous as fuck on the boot up logo screen being stuck there for a few minutes lol) and it has breathed new life into my phone, absolutely love it.
It took all of 5 minutes to do it.

Even compared to my cousin's iPhone4, he was blown away by the speed and simplicity of it. I dare say he got a tiny bit jealous, at least his gf said he looked like he did. lol

dont need to. For what 99% of the buyers need the screen to be protected from(keys crap in pockets) its scratchproof enough. And if samsung says 75% better in the sunlight, well thats pretty good also for 99% , something tells me its just the 1% dolts like you that can drag itvalong the ground for 2 feet.

so does corning? apple and the likes came to them for it. I wonder why? corning has a product that is known to work. Zagg needs to try and stay relevant in a.world where most dont need a.screen protector anymore.

Nibble me this..what do my nards taste like?
