If you knew anything about the expedited process you would know it is not an abuse of power. You can't have it both ways.
But I haven't.
And even then, Trump's
expanded use of that process could be considered an abuse of power.
I actually don't think it is, since in the case of the expedited process (in and of itself) he has gone up to the limits of the law as written.
He's abusing power in all kinds of other ways, of course.
And I fully expect him to go beyond the limits of the expedited process.
The Alien Enemies Act is what he has been using to do the most egregious abuses, of course, which is why it has been the focus of pushback by the courts and the public.
Not bending any facts.
I know you learned a bunch of talking points that you expect to "win" the argument, but you have to actually be countering claims I am making for that to work.
So sorry to disappoint you.
I have.
Trump is, especially in the use of the Alien Enemies Act, abusing power, defying courts, and violating due process in a number of ways.
As for "By your measure, Trump is not as bad or as abusive as Obama was." -- what measure do you think I'm using?
You seem to think I am using "number of people deported", but that would be nonsensical and silly as a measure of abuse, so why would I do that?

I'm the one who mentioned the expedited process when the notion of "no due process" was mentioned.
I added that Obama used that process even more than Trump so to clear up any hypocrisy Obama-lovers might have.
He's not abusing power. He's doing what he said he would do if elected. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean he's abusing power.
And if you don't like it well that's really too bad and you're going to have a long 4 years.
