This is disgusting. Anyone who enables this kind of treatment of the people who risk their lives to protect them, the good cops who go above and beyond every day should be shamed and held accountable for every innocent life that gets lost due to crime. This is a polarizing issue.

I truly hope I never see the Toronto police in this situation.

This makes me so sad listening to this and knowing people willing contributed to this for a political agenda.

“ "Stop treating us like animals and thugs... Our legislators abandoned us. The press is vilifying us. It's disgusting."

New York police boss Mike O'Meara unloads on media:

He represents the voice of the USA and Canada. The overwhelming majority. But those that control the media want to project something else. They want you to believe that the protesters and looters and "defund the police" voices reflect overall sentiment. They revel in instability, chaos, death, and violence. Real life pain has become just another product to sell. News is treated no differently than 'reality tv'.

Some officers are bad; some departments are bad. But not all. Not most. Not even close. The job entails an infinite number of moral dilemmas when facing violent volatile people in a myriad of dangerous environments. So much that most critics would never want to become cops. We know this by intuition and life experience but it's all ignored at the behest of the media overlords and the fake political pandering. We must acknowledge the fine balancing act involved in policing and we must vigilantly root out the bad apples. But let's not allow those with the media megaphone to burn down the orchard.
