Get to the root of the issue of drug addiction and have clean drugs for those that cant shake it. I was reading recently that theres a new substance found in powder drugs that causes irregular low heart beat, shortness of breathe and i cant remember the 3rd one .

Seriously though Pierre Polivere wants to take drugs back to the 90s and throw them in jail and hide the key. This will not help society at all.If you have had a loved one or you know someone struggling you wouldnt want them spending weeks in jail because they got there fix.

to some you think losers junkies who needs them. but the reality is simply this most drug addicts are trying to numb themselves from child abuse whether sexually emotionally or physically .

i heard a few politicians were going to legalize drugs since we have an opiod epidemic a fentanyl mixing with so many drugs causing over dosing left right and center .

the intelligent crew knows damm well all the thousands ODing are not printed in the paper unless its an independent media site. These people have struggled have gone homeless and have faced death many times and then unfortunately succomed to there death with OD.

Safe injection sites are there to help prevent overdoses and prevent the spread of diseases from users sharing needles. I know some places provide the drugs, but ensure they are not mixed with fentanyl or other surprises that could lead to deaths.

In the 19th century, the British Empire flooded China with Opium. I recall reading the Chinese Emperor begged Queen Victoria to stop the shipments, but they didn't.

If this is payback, we should expect it, and plan our defense against it.

Its too late for that. China and India owns most of the cabinet in Ottawa.

I am hopelessly addicted to holistic massage. But I don't make myself
a burden to the society and to those I am close to. Now I am not suggesting
not to take care of hopelessly addicted druggies. I just don't think keeping
the addicted healthy is any realistic. I mean you cannot keep heavy smokers
and drinkers healthy. The best you can do is to help them to live longer at a heavy
cost. We ought to educate kids starting from a young age as well as their parents
on the evil of drugs and to some degree tobacco and alcohol as well.

They're always going to be with us. Let's try and keep them alive and as healthy as we can.

The latest data, released Tuesday (May 7), shows at least 192 people died from B.C.’s toxic drug supply in March. At least 572 people in the first three months of 2024.

China always plays the long game while other nations have short attention spans and always look for the instant gratification.

Take street level Narcan out of play and instead provide free diabetes medication to people who actually want to live. Once the hardcore addicts passon then the others who are savable will stand a chance of recovering. Narcan has been incorporated into the drug abuse cycle and it has to stop.
