On the other hand, Scott figured he achieved all that he desired to get from hockey... so who can argue that?! Neidermayer is right. he has rings, gold medals, trophy's, all star appearances and a shoe in to the HHOF.
what has Sundin got out of hockey? IMO he has unfinished business and if he doesn't know if he has the heart or not to be in it... that's just fucked IMO. he should just retire.
Mats Sundin has represented Team Sweden at various international competitions, such as the World Cup of Hockey and the Olympic Games, and has held the position of team captain for the national squad for the better part of the last decade.
Sundin is widely recognized as one of the top players in the world in these international competitions, and has added a highly impressive list of accomplishments to his credentials as a result of his outstanding performance in the 2002 Winter Olympics and 2004 World Cup of Hockey.
Sundin has won three IIHF World Championships with Sweden in 1991, 1992 and 1998. Sundin won a gold medal with Team Sweden in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Mats has also won a silver medal at the World Championships in 2003, and bronze in 1994 and 2001.

It would seem Mats Sundin has accomplished quite a lot in hockey. The only major accomplishment missing in his resume is a Stanley Cup championship. Many great players have gone their entire career without winning a Stanley Cup.
He is a shoo-in for the Hockey Hall of Fame.
