Also a great album in my Library, but definitely not Doo Wop.Sounds like Doo wop, it may not be, but still great and great voice. (and great video)
The Tymes had an early disco hit "You Little Trustmaker"Doo-wop's last stand atop the charts in the summer of 1963---a memorable one for me at the Jersey Shore--just before the wave of Beatlemania washed over all.
im not familiar with this original.....only the Peaches & Herb version....thanks for posting
if you subscribe to Sirios radio, the 50,s on 5...you will hear some Doo Wop.....and there is their version of the DooWop Shop hosted by Cool Bobby B....im not sure when it plays though..sorry..Back in the day as they say, I went submarine race watching with Murray the K's Swinging Soiree on 1010 WINS in NYC. He later commandeered the Beatles when they first came over, to the point that he called himself "the fifth Beatle." By the way, I saw the Beatles the first time they strapped on geetars in the USA: the full dress rehearsal of the first Ed Sullivan, just a few hours before the show went live.
Later on, I swore by Don K. Reed's Sunday evening show The Doo-Wop Shop on WCBS-FM. Could never get enough.
