Well there, a guy who candidly admits the thread's gone on too long for him to bother reading, and for sure the recent questions contain a lot of repeats.

I guess even a great thread like this one has a natural life cycle. Not to say this one's dead yet, but it's hardly the party-all-nite-work-the-next-day youngster it was at six pages.

If this thread has gone on too long, it's because it is an interesting one. My own contacts in the industry have expressed similar sentiments shown here so I know that the answers are candid, and reflect personal experiences. There are lots of books covering this topic, and Gen can write one more, covering the Toronto scene. She is very articulate and has writer's talent.
