Emily Murphy, Henrietta Muir Edwards, Nellie McClung, Louise McKinney and Irene Parlby for forcing the official recognition of women as persons in Canada in 1929
PET for tons of stuff, but in particular for actually starting the process that created our Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the most inclusive, forward thinking, and honourable human rights legislation in existence (if not the only one to extend these rights to all persons in Canada, not just citizens). Started in 1960 with the introduction of the Bill of Rights, ended in only 1982 with the constitution law that is our Charter.
